(for the real nerds: the sticker was designed with Inkscape, the QR code was generated with Inkscape too. The font used is DIN Alternate. I exported the final design as png in the correct dimensions/resolution to fit on the 12mm label)

I don’t know why this is so hard to understand. 2014 Russia invaded and occupied Crimea and some folks told us to let them@have it so there will be peace. A few years later they invade again and now these same folks (and even more, because now it suddenly IS a war) say the same thing. “Let Russia have it so we can have peace”. Russia wants all of Ukraine and then even more. Why do so many people not understand this?

I hate to admit it but when #ClimateChange means my part of Europe (Germany) will cool down significantly due to changes in the Atlantic Ocean, I like. Quite the day. Full day workshop at the office where I was mentor, cameraman, photographer, audio mixer. Put some colleagues in front of the big camera and big lights, so they could experience that for the first time. Partial power outage caused by a Tesla pulling too much power, knocking out the power line to the network infrastructure. Fixed that. Rushed to the station to catch the train to Frankfurt, where I just checked in to the hotel. This one is well deserved, IMHO :) #LifeAtRedHat

It started raining on Thursday (18.1 mm), Friday continued with intermittent rain (also 18.1mm) and in the evening it intensified and today, Saturday, at 13:55 we are at 51.8 mm and it hasn't stopped raining yet. Parts of Munich are getting flooded already.

#ThanksEU. I will vote for the EU parliament on the 9th of June here in #Munich as registered voter in the German registry, even though I’m Dutch. No need to go to a Dutch embassy to vote. Also means I vote for the candidates on the German lists, which suits me even better :)

Might be an #UnpopularOpinion, but small, domain-specific "AI" models (it's still mostly machine learning ;) actually do make sense. It's becoming just another tool quite fast. They are not magic, they can solve real problems.

The switch away from a big, centralised "AI" oligopoly is already happening. The tools and rules to exchange small, domain-specific "AI" models, extending them without needing a full training run in the Open Source Way are coming along nicely. Good.

Ich habe kein Problem damit den selbst erzeugten Strom den ich nicht brauch an das Netz zu verschenken. Ich habe ja schon meinen Gewinn gemacht, indem ich "gratis" Strom für meine Wohnung habe. Und genau deswegen mein dezentraler Gedanke. Ich würde den überflüssigen ström ja lieber den Nachbarn als dem anonymen Netz schenken :)

Statistisch gesehen stehen Autos im Privatbesitz 20 von 24 Stunden am Tag der Zeit zuhause rum und werden nicht bewegt [1].
Wenn man jetzt bei e-Autos Vehicle to Grid zur Pflicht macht, also die Autobatterie zur Einspeisung mutverwendet, hätte man gewaltige Batteriekapazitäten zur Netzstabilisierung frei Haus (Pun intended).
