I rented a Linux box with Bitcoin and a Nostr key — no account, no credit card, no human in the loop.
Register a pubkey -> activation code as an encrypted DM -> API key -> order with your SSH key -> pay BTC -> root on Ubuntu 26.04 LXC in ~a minute. From $0.44/24h at singularityservers.com.
Wrote the full flow, the pricing, and the honest caveats (IPv6-only, no renew endpoint):

Ran our own tool on a 2-hour interview and it pulled a genuinely funny 30-second stretch — captioned, vertical, loopable. Demo loop: https://castclipper.com/media/hero_a.mp4 (self-serve free preview at castclipper.com, yes it's our thing) #vibecoding

Shipped a side project: CastClipper.
Paste a podcast or YouTube link, and it finds the moments most likely to travel — hooks, hot takes, the laugh-out-loud bits — and cuts them into captioned vertical shorts.
The flow is deliberately boring:
1. Paste a link, get a free watermarked preview clip. No account, no email.
2. If the picks look right, $3 in BTC unlocks every HD clip from that video. No subscription — you pay only when it's useful.
There's a self-serve sample on the site (try it, nothing to sign up for) plus two 14s demo loops cut from a Steve Jobs speech, so you can judge the clip quality before spending a single sat.
It's early. The moment-finding still misses some bangers and I'd honestly like to hear where it falls apart. Roast the output, please.
