Would be pretty funny to see a woke-mob edition. Nothing but roadblocks for not being inclusive enough or something. Just loops of virtue signalling and land acknowledgments.

Hey @npub1f5p…wt3z I bet you would get a kick out of the way the Ashaninka plant their gardens. Because the plants are so interdependent in the jungle, they have been practicing permaculture for centuries. Their gardens are often indistinguishable from the jungle itself to outsiders. Plants growing on plants, often taking multiple lifetimes to establish. Some of the vine Daniel has harvested was planted over a hundred years ago growing on trees that were planted even further back.

If you live in a life of kindness, you will live a good life. If you have a life of caring, you will be balanced. And if you have a life of sharing things that are good for you, you will find joy. And when you live within those frames of that joy, peace, and balance, then you will earn and know the true meaning of freedom. - Don Cardinal, Cree Elder

My friend @npub1446…elyg has helped me grow as a person in many ways throughout my life and I'd like to do what I can to help return the value he's so graciously shared with me over the years.
Daniel has spent his life continuing the traditions his family has practiced for generations and is currently hosting retreats with the hopes of one day having his own centre to work out of. He came to me today asking for help with selling the medicines and tradtional crafts he makes and I couldn't think of a better group of people to introduce him to. The bitcoin community often talks about generational wealth and dynasties that stretch for millennia. In Daniel's case the wealth is generational knowledge and he is one small link in a long chain that he continues to serve with humility.
Having spent time in various circles over the past 15 years working with amazonian medicines, I can vouch that the way Daniel works with the plants stands above most in this field. When so much of what goes on in these circles is chaotic noise, it is obvious when Daniel sings in ceremony that he has been able to keep the signal of his lineage clear. The proof of work that goes into learning to sing icaros and work with these plants is one of the hardest endevours someone could take on and cannot be faked. Weeks in isolation, eating a heavily restricted diet, and drinking the plants you seek to learn from is the only way. One plant at a time, year after year.
These songs are truly timeless in the sense that they are eternal pathways that cut through both time and space to open layers of reality that are seldom travelled. An icaro that's been passed down holds a powerful charge that grows each time its sung. Like turning the knob on a radio and tuning into a specific frequency, singing an icaro tunes your consciousness into the medicine of a specific plant. Many can sing, but very few can sing in this way as they are not willing or able to do the work required to.
After seeing the film "Hummingbird" that @npub1spd…q6j7 and @npub1r3x…5m0x posted I was reminded of a film a friend of mine made about Daniel's father Juan Flores, called "Tonkiri" which is the Ashaninka word for hummingbird. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsmD1_woGFo)
The film's director introduced me to Daniel's family and the Ashaninka way of working with plant medicines. The impact they have had on the way I carry myself in the world is something I will be forever grateful for.
English is Daniel's second language and this is his first experience using both Bitcoin and NOSTR. If you have resources that could help in Spanish it would be of great service. Specifically, I suspect he may at times need a reputable exchange to use in Peru as the small town he lives in has yet to be exposed to bitcoin and there is not yet a culture to support it.
@nprofile…36mg I've heard rumours of you guys getting going in Peru any chance you could help with this?
I am sure that those who choose to support his work will also find benefit in the ways I have. He's not one to ask for much but I hope people could send some boosts to show support and blow his mind a little. I helped him write his first post and tagged the people I thought might be able to lend a hand. Hopefully no one feels spammed.

I’m curious to know more. What did you come across that sparked your insight? When I think about the “dead” days I’ve had it’s definitely the days I’ve vegged in front of a screen barely mentally online, just consuming. I’m trying to imagine an equivalent experience during pre-screen times. Best I can come up with that would be comparable would be days I’ve spent camping just sitting in a spot staring into the distance for long periods of time. The difference is I remember a fair bit of those moments whereas the screen days are wiped from recall. There’s also a sort of limit to doing nothing when outside. At some point you need to actively contribute to your own comfort. Food needs to get cooked, water gathered, shade found, warmer clothes, etc. checking out for an entire day isn’t really an option like it is when at home trying to watch a season of something back to back.

Go woof on a farm and work on getting a remote job. You will be able to live very cheaply while getting experience homesteading. Spend time travelling in the places you want to live and ask the farmers at markets if they are looking for someone to help out in exchange for a place to live. Be sure to work out specifics regarding labour and living arrangements and don’t get yourself into a position that’s hard to get out of.
