Hi,
In fact peertube doesn't use this library anymore. We switched to https://github.com/misskey-dev/node-http-message-signatures
Ironically, Misskey doesn't still use @npub17gp…7p4g/http-signature.
The former dev of @misskey-dev/node-http-message-signatures expressed concerns about the maintenance status of the library: https://github.com/Chocobozzz/PeerTube/issues/7372
However, upon reviewing it, I found no issues or security considerations with the library. @npub17gp…7p4g/http-signature (based on https://github.com/TritonDataCenter/node-http-signature) isn't really maintained either

There's rate limiting per IP, but AI bots use many residential IPs it's hard to protect yourself from them. Cloudflare or service like that can help I think, but I've never tried them

"Fichiers vidéo" ce sont les fichiers bruts, qui peuvent être difficilement lisible par d'autre players. En outre, selon la config de l'instance, tu peux te retrouver avec des fichiers sans son/sans vidéo (car peut séparer les flux maintenant).
C'est pour ça qu'on a un nouvel onglet, par défaut, "Télécharge vidéo", où PeerTube s'occupe de fournir un fichier qui va bien (donc audio + vidéo + format un peu plus facile à lire).

Le fichier vidéo peut ne pas contenir d'audio par exemple, et a un format qui peut-être moins facilement jouable par les players locaux :)

Si l'upload est lent chez Guillaume mais pas chez quelqu'un d'autre je dirais que ça vient du réseau. Peut-être regarder du côté des algo de congestion du serveur/clietn

Un nouveau système de fédération des vues va être utilisé dans la 7.1 (introduit à l'époque pour https://joinpeertube.org/news/stress-test-2023) ce qui devrait réduire le nombre de messages :)

It's not possible, the mobile application uses the PeerTube API and so is dedicated to PeerTube accounts.
I suggest https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.fedilab.android&hl=fr for your use case :)
