$95 million of the Live Aid concert money in 1985 meant for starving Ethiopians bought guns for the Marxist factions fighting each other.
This was the finding of a BBC investigation years after Bob Geldof’s concert raised over $125 million when the world saw the famine that killed over a million people.
Ethiopia was never colonized, yet Western guilt and empathy were abused.
Still remains a cautionary tale on why every dollar of aid has to be scrutinized hard or it ends up arming the people prolonging the suffering instead of feeding the ones who need it.
Because as a result of this mismanagement, lives were lost DUE to millions in aid.
Context: a drought hit at the same time the ruling Derg, a Marxist military junta, was collectivizing farms and diverting grain reserves to fight the rebels.
The famine still happened because Marxist central planning had wrecked food production and the civil war made the drought catastrophic.

Forced resettlement of famine victims under Ethiopia’s communist Derg killed between 50,000 and 100,000 people.
The program ran parallel to the forced villagization drive that herded 4.6 million farmers into planned settlements by 1986.
Mengistu’s regime had already launched the Red Terror in 1977 and slaughtered tens of thousands of political rivals after executing 60 former officials without trial on Black Saturday, just weeks after junior officers overthrew the emperor and seized power in 1974.
Political scientist James Scott called the project “high modernism”, a state remaking society by force while remaining completely blind to the local knowledge it destroyed.

Your median professor sits so far left that AOC, Sanders, and Warren would count as moderates in any faculty lounge.
Faculty from 55 elite universities form one towering blue spike of ideology far out on the left, density exploding past 6, with virtually nothing on the conservative side.
This was built through decades of selective hiring, social enforcement, and the systematic purge of dissent.
And because they credential the people who run media, law, government, and tech, the monoculture leaks into every elite institution downstream.

The open society and its enemy, Soros.
While he named his Open Society Foundations after Karl Popper’s “The Open Society and Its Enemies,” his project stands as a philosophical inversion of everything Popper defended.
Popper’s open society rested on critical rationalism, the recognition that no one possesses final truth, that institutions must remain open to criticism and piecemeal reform, and that democracy functions as a method for removing rulers without bloodshed.
He rejected historicism, the belief in iron laws of history that justify sacrificing present generations for a utopian future, and warned that such thinking inevitably produces closed, authoritarian societies.
Soros has repurposed the label to advance a grand project of engineered demographic transformation.
Through mass immigration, multiculturalism as official policy, and diversity mandates that prioritize group identity over individual merit and assimilation, his foundations actively dissolve the cultural continuity and social trust that make rational criticism and incremental change possible.
Popper understood that openness requires a stable framework, a shared language of reason, basic cohesion, and institutions citizens feel they collectively own.
Soros treats those foundations as obstacles to be overcome in the name of an abstract, borderless openness.
The concrete results are visible. Parallel societies that operate under different norms, public spaces where debate on the scale and selection of immigration is treated as illegitimate, and the rise of identity based hierarchies that close off dissent in the name of equity.
These are certainly not expansions of the open society, but new forms of closure, tribal in character, enforced through institutional capture rather than overt dictatorship, yet hostile to the very critical spirit Popper placed at the center of civilized life.
Philosophically, Soros replaces Popper’s falsification and humility before reality with a new historicism, the conviction that global multiculturalism and open borders represent inevitable moral progress, and that resistance from actual existing communities constitutes the new enemy.
The machinery funded in the name of openness does not test its own assumptions against evidence, it suppresses the questions.
Those who still value the ideal of an open society should read Popper on their own terms.
They will find that Soros has not extended the open society, but has supplied its most sophisticated contemporary enemies.

Nobody voted for this.
The same supranational elites shouting “save our democracy” are ramming through a globalist agenda of open borders, mass amnesty, and demographic replacement that no European population ever approved.
Because to them, democracy never meant rule of the people. It means their rule. No different than North Korea claiming to be democratic because the dictator supposedly speaks for the will of the people.
You’re only allowed to vote on trivial issues. The decisions that actually destroy a civilization like who enters your country, what your culture becomes, whether your nation even survives, it all happens without your consent.
You’re not in charge. You’re being ruled.

Spain is being used as Europe’s open gateway for illegal migration.
The country now has over 9 million immigrants, nearly 20% of its entire population.
In 2026, the government is fast tracking amnesty for another 500,000 illegal migrants already inside the country.
This is a deliberate strategy to keep Spain’s borders wide open as the primary entry point, grant legal status to those who arrive, then allow them to spread across the rest of Europe through EU free movement rules and relocation schemes.
One nation is deliberately flooded so the demographic consequences can be redistributed across continent.
Native populations watch their countries change in real time while being told it’s all organic and unavoidable.
This is the plan in plain sight and Spain is ground zero.

Multiculturalism is sold as neutral cultures peacefully coexisting side by side.
That’s deliberate propaganda.
Some cultures are not neutral. They are openly hostile, teaching that outsiders, especially white Christians, are filthy heathens and subhumans to be used, exploited,

Not poverty. Not “cultural misunderstanding”. Not random crime by “Asians”.

Incentives explain outcomes.
Milton Friedman observed that you cannot simultaneously have free immigration and a welfare state.
America’s earlier waves of immigration succeeded so well because, prior to 1914, the country maintained open borders without a welfare system.
Immigrants arrived to work, support themselves and their families, and build new lives.
Those who couldn’t succeed typically returned home.
This environment naturally selected for self-reliant individuals and fueled tremendous economic growth.
In contrast, today’s expansive welfare state, offering healthcare, education, housing assistance, and cash transfers, fundamentally alters the incentives.
When immigrants, whether legal or illegal, can immediately access these benefits, it becomes possible for some to arrive and function as net fiscal drains rather than contributors.
Friedman therefore opposed the unsustainable pairing of open borders with generous entitlements.
So it’s not paradoxical why one would support pre-1914 immigration but oppose its later version.
They are very different phenomena.
Either can work on its own, but together they generate higher taxes, social friction, and long-term strain.

Indoctrinating infants with race guilt is pure child abuse dressed as “anti-racism.”

This is the federal income tax play all over again.
It started in 1913 as a “class tax” on the rich, hitting less than 1% of the population with a 1% rate above $3,000.
It expanded during WWII into a mass tax on most workers through withholding, skyrocketing rates, base
