I really do not get nostr. It is so hard to connect to people. Seems I have to ask stuff directly to people, but for some specific bitcoin ideas, who to ask????
I am verified (i have the iris mark), but I have not paid for a relay or a nip something.
I prefer using stacker news or reddit (or twitter as last resource) cause at least there it is easier to connect to people.
I can't find my profile from out in the open (from a non xpriv session).
Is it with a # or a @ to find people?? Who knows... seems neither works here, unless you are the target is a somewhat famous/fancy person.
I'll give a couple years for this thing to mature. Until then goodbye best of luck.

I just downloaded the APK file from Play Store Console (the APK file that Google generated from the .AAB file I uploaded to Play Store) and compared it with the signed APK file I generated with my Intellij IDE, using the same keystore, key index and code commit.
I used the SHA256 hash and both APKs have different hashes
I cannot think of an easy way of verifying that the app published on Play Store is the same build that I would obtain by building the source code. Am I correct in the logic?

I still don't get it. If "s" is only known to the 2 involved parties, seems like this message needs both parties online at the same time. Can the "s" be stored by relays and kept there so when the receiver logs in, the message will be displayed to thst client?

Both main chain and lightning can be used as an effective settlement tool.
Regular people will not realize when their payments (Paypal to bank, Remitances, Revolut to Visa, Strike to Amazon) will be settled in bitcoin.
Payment processors will settle their flows with bitcoin because it is the easiest way of doing it worldwide. Time will tell.

Since most upgrades do not touch consensus rules, I view them as routine "security upgrades". But maybe the code does not really need any more changes. Core devs are paid with grants, and I suppose they have to do something otherwise why paying them.

Yes, also the login process is automatic as long as the device is pluged in. Password managers can achieve that, but it might be more work if you wanted to port to another machine, or change browser (in case of passwords saved in browser). It is very similar to what Yubikey does.

Like on a hardware wallet, you sign the transaction on the device and only the signature goes to the computer and then to the network. In nostr you do the same with this device. Instead of a transaction, you sign the message you are posting.
Of course a bitcoin transaction is more important than a nostr message, but for a thing like a social platform, no one can hack or steal your account.

The ordinals thing is so weird imo. One guy decided to order sats with some logic and then associate stuff to it. You can do the same with natural numbers (1,2,3..) (instead of sats) and start registering stuff in your site (and also in a btc tx witness) and associate those things to the numbers. As soon as the interpreter (the site) is gone, the association will be gone, and those witnesses will mean nothing.

Is there a free web REST service that allow me to post a btc address, a lightning invoice, and then return a response with both qr codes? Kind of like btcpay server but for any bitcoin address and any lightning backend. I am planning to build one that will do that, and also will check the payment status using the specific onchain and lightning service API. However I do not want to if there is already something like that. It is just a machine that will:
- Receive a BTC address, a lightning invoice, the bitcoin/lightning service URL, and an API key for querying status.
- Display those QR's in a BTCPay style
- Query with a bunch of GET requests the payment status and wait till the status changes
- Update the screen indicating the success
- Return to the original site (any site that is using this service)
