year some patterns work better than others. But the more one traines it, the easier it gets.
I had some stereogram books at a child. I felt like a magician once i figured it out.

I definitly need more Time to read this (which I don't have right now), but I must point out. Brains are definitively computers... But not built in a digital von Neumann architecture.
And therefore I don't see a reason why "scientist" shouldn't be able to find a copy of Beethoven on it, because it must be stored their in one form or another. Not as a mp3, but in some (perhaps more complex) form it is there.

How do they measure the quality of a research institution/university?
Most of the time it's measured in numbers of publications... Which actually doesn't tell much about the quality.
I would even argue, this is hurting the credibility of science as a whole, because there is a pressure to just publish as much as possible.

people were offended? What should that mean?
This movie isn't offending in any way. It's a audio visual masterpiece created by some of the most talented artists of the late 20th century, including Moebius himself...
If anything, people acted as they would have been offended.

I'm sorry but I'm afraid Bluesky is for sale.
To my knowledge Bluesky is not completely decentralized.
* This PDS system is very limited by now.
* They are using their very own protocol instead of a W3C stand like other do.
Everything is designed so that the server controlled by Bluesky will always be the dominant. And therefore buying this server will be equivalent of buying everything.
Being open sourced or not doesn't make a big difference here.

OK it's out:
https://feytinggames.itch.io/trick-your-treat
It's buggy, it's still using placeholder assets and I don't expect anything but if I get like 10 boost or something I will definitely consider to release a making of video on my #PeerTube channel #happyHalloween 🎃

I'm rushing through it, but with animations and FX it all starts looking like a game.
I don't think I will be able to complete all the stuff before #Halloween but I guess I will release it anyway, since this is just a small hobby project.

the audience is there. :)
As a public institution you need to be very careful of what implications your behavior brings.
If being (only) on closed social media platforms for public communication, that would bring the implications of pushing people to a decision between not interacting at all or being exposed to potential dark patterns and data misusage by the platform providers.
So it's in the responsibility of every public institution to always provide an alternative.

I don't get it.
What do you mean with premium subscription? How should "mastodon" have premium subscription? Do you mean like paying a annual fee for you instances provider? That's very much a thing already.
Mastodon.green e.g gives you the premium feature of planting trees for you. The biggest difference between mastodon and Blue sky so far is that one only exists to make a rich guy richer.

No one wants to play with Pumpkin Boy 😔
The NPCs are now behaving like I should have done when I heard people sneezing and coughing at the train station last week... infection hitting me hard at the moment.
Let's see if this project actually finishes before #Halloween

Here we go... A different #ConceptArt from some years ago. A #superHero squad called" Heroes of the Elements"
I had the idea of turning them into 3D characters and do a "little" animation movie with them.
It's funny how I still see the sequences I had in mind today in my head after all this years.

no offense to you (of course) but I think the article is part of the problem.
1. The headline is completely different from the findings of the study which says "mostly no effect at all"
2. The article says without Social Media the people where less likely to believe false information. But This numbers are not put into perspective. Was it 50% less or 0.1%?
3. No analysis on how the setup was actually constructed and data was gathered.
