Der Rest hat keine Auswirkungen auf die Funktionalität. github.com/friendica/friendica… npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 Hello I am thinking about switching libranet.de to the current develop version 2026.08-dev. The thing is I really like the lately polished user interface with better icon placements and a fresh icon set. The thing with the develop version is that the user's browser cache is not automatically refreshed to use the updated templates and CSS files. The user needs to Shift+Reload the page or needs to clear the cache of the browser once. Otherwise some menus and e.g. the new-post-button will be missing. What do you think? Should I do the switch nonetheless? https://libranet.de/photo/21204372366a1a9f11c5c98069753244-0.png npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…x40x Du kannst auch mit Shift+Reload die Seite neu laden. Vielleicht gibt es da einen Zusammenhang. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…8a9w There was a problem with fake user numbers from GoToSocial. They provide the possibility to publicly report random user counts for their servers. If I remember correctly @nprofile…lz42 did something in Friendicas code to mitigate this. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…haaq I have no experience with Yunohost. Back then I thought it is a cool name – short but nonetheless describing what Friendica is. And the domain was available. 🙂 I found out later that there was a Linux distro with that name. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…qw0a Ich habe die Optimierung bei mir abgestellt. This is a flaw in the database/query design in Friendica with current MariaDB versions and large tables. I know that the main database developer is using an older MariaDB version. So, it's hard to fix that. I have done a lot of performance tests with different settings. But those queries remain painfully slow no matter what I try. In the last weeks I have deleted a ton of old user accounts - around 4000 on venera.social and libranet.de combined. This is done now. I will optimize the database in the next days to ragain disk space and improve the general database performance. When this doesn't help I will report the details of the slow queries an the bug tracker. Maybe someone can improve the code to match current MariaDB versions. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…65um The problem is that MariaDB takes some minutes to process the query for the network feed for some users. Sprich, das System skaliert die Bilder auf ein Vielfaches von 640 Pixeln. The reason is that the database queries loading the posts and related comments/reactions are very slow. In some cases they're running for several minutes. They should run only a few seconds. This leads to a timeout error. I have tried to optimize several database settings to mitigate the problem. The situation has improved but under certain circumstances the queries are still too slow. I need to investigate why these queries are sometimes pretty fast and sometimes unbearably slow. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 Hello Does anyone use the “vier” theme on the develop branch? I just checked it with Firefox and it looks very broken. 2025.02-dev npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…sr7a Thanks for your report. Yep, the global feed seems to take a lot of time to load. Looks like, the database query ist running very slowly. At the moment the system is removing a lot of old content from the database. This can slow down other queries. When the clean-up job is done the situation should improve. But I think I need to run an database optimization after the clean-up is done. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…dqyx @nprofile…k9z3 @nprofile…dzkq apparently the search is set only for hashtag search Full text search is enabled. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…dzkq I found the redir link on the local contact page of the group. The large profile picture is linked to the remote (forum.friendi.ca) server via a redir link. Following that link should authenticate you when visiting the remote group page. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…dzkq Public search is enabled on forum.friendi.ca. I guess, the theme simply doesn't show the search box for visitors. For remote authentication (a.k.a. magic auth) you need to go to the group/forum by a so called redir link. I don't know if these links still exist in the current Friendica version. Let me have a look... npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…lxtd Ok. I'm not sure if we translate and display a "fav" (favorite, star button) as a "like" on our side. 🤔 Do you know if that was the case in the past? If so, it could be a bug. npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…thfz Because of this bug/issue: github.com/friendica/friendica… npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…rgpg @nprofile…uyml Hier bitte 😀 github.com/friendica/friendica… npub1ngwau2mddy6l833dxh28nw36k4faxmupqmjhnuvv8v2ug45fuymsl94eet Steffen K9 🐰 @nprofile…fw8x It's perfectly ok to ask.
