first check that micro sd for any file system errors (preferably on another Linux computer), fix errors if any were found and try again.
But if that fails and if you need to get it back instead of reinstalling everything - try your luck with UART.
Don’t forget to enable it in /boot/firmware/confog.txt and cmdline.txt in the same folder.

well one (larger) is definite a cap - easy to replace or remove and leave as is. But the rightmost can be a resistor or inductor - need to know for sure and if so - need to know resistor value

Checking out #DietPi on #Radxa Rock 4B+ - it works surprisingly well and I adore how much effort devs put into making the tools for the system’s personalization. It’s easier than ever to install needed packages and even choose a GUI. Cool 🙌🏻

Oh well, I blew this UPS while trying to mod it.
Pin1 of the optoisolator shorted to the LDO for a split second while I was soldering.
Controlling IC went kaput.
The hardest part is that the blown IC doesn't have any markings on the top.
Turns out is has some markings on the bottom, but searching online didn't give any results.
Then I started randomly asking people who fix such things if they met this IC and one of them told me it's an HC2017 (SOP-8) chip.
Community rocks. Wow.

Hey #electronics #fediverse, I need #fedihelp 😊.
I have a router UPS (WGP512A) that I bought faulty, replaced dead 18650 batteries (all of them) with good ones and also made it on a 40A BMS.
It all works great, but - each time it fully discharges I need to press ON button.
I want to bypass it with a mosfet - connect gate to battery pack output and wire drain and source to button pins.
I need help with understanding:
1) whether it is a good idea (if not - what is?)
2) mosfet choice

Wild things are happening. I played like 8-10 games of Solitaire on my Pocket PC throughout the day and ALL of them ended exactly the same way - QUEEN OF DIAMONDS was ALWAYS the last queen before the final row of kings in that exact same spot - first on the left.
I’ve been playing this game on different Pocket PCs since 2003 or so. Never seen anything like that.
Is that a #bug or #universe is trying to tell me something? 🤔

Question to #linux community: is it necessary/recommended to reboot my Raspberry Pi running Raspbian Bookworm after I update my packages via apt? What about those installed via Flatpak? And most importantly - why?
I want to set up a cron job for that and not sure whether or not I should also add a reboot after updating 🤷🏻‍♂️

But who knows - maybe thanks to technological advances those issues will not pose any threat in the future?…
I’ve been thinking a lot about it as well and the more I think of it - the less I’m concerned. It’s just future. Wozniak’s boss at HP asked him why the hell would ordinary people need computers back in a day…
Everything changes - the question is what will our average human intelligence allow us to do with the new tools 🤔
