I don't know how you can look at OBS, look at the fact that I record all my videos on Wayland and then come to the conclusion that screen capture in OBS doesn't work on Wayland

Just so everyone is clear, I record all of my videos on Wayland, OBS on Wayland for the core functionality doesn't have any problems, whether that's capturing the screen or individual windows.
There are issues with docks but that's due to CEF at this point not OBS

The way you make it work is how KDE does it where window raising and window focus are 2 separate actions, you gain window focus by moving the cursor onto the window and you can now type in it, but to raise the window you have to click it.
This eliminates the problem COSMIC has where windows jump up and down.

If you're seeing a "installing libxml2 (2.14.2-2) breaks dependency 'libxml2.so=2-64' required by" in Pacman, you're not the only one https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2239439
This version appears to be a legacy package that has since been completely dropped that you installed as a dependency long ago and just now it's breaking https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/libxml2/-/issues/4
As long as you're not manually building core system packages and this is a dependency you're safe to remove it

I see the same kind of criticism aimed at Asahi Linux and Chrultrabook, "Why bother supporting Linux on this hardware, just stop buying bad laptops"
Not supporting Linux on Apple Silicon or Chromebooks, won't at all slow down the sales of these devices, but what it does do is give these devices the ability to have a second life once they've gone EOL saving at least some of them from going straight into e-waste
