@nprofile…galm @nprofile…eqsh Not provoking Iran too far. Certainly we were unhappy with Iran, there was the Iran/Iraq war, Soviets in Afghanistan, Iraq invading Kuwait, and that just gets us though 1990 or so.

@nprofile…gfcd AF 1 is the Air Force aircraft the President is on, when Nixon's resignation was effective, he was on AF1 flying back to California, and the pilot notified air traffic control what their new call sign was. Marine 1 would usually be the Marine helicopter he's on, but it could be Coast Guard 1 or whatever. 2 is the VP. What can I say, I follow a guy on Quora who spent a good bit of his AF career flying in that unit.

@nprofile…gfcd AF2 having propellers? Seems unlikely, as none of the current Air Force VIP transports have propellers. Not impossible that the VP ends up on a C-130 and then gets a booboo. Sucked into a jet engine, on the other hand... https://youtu.be/58Y2_cYeVIo (no people were harmed)

@nprofile…s6x2 sure, so, California passes a law repealing their income tax (not fully deductible any more if you're rich) and replaces it with a payroll tax, which is fully deductible. Is it a one to one replacement, of course not, but it's an example of what you could do. Switch the states income to things that reduce federal revenue.

@nprofile…s6x2 I mean, we could start doing some things, like replace income taxes with payroll, as the income are only partially deductible, while payroll are fully deductible, for an example (and yes, pay would have to change some too). But, yeah, there is no simple way to do much.
