my possums are gone. the neighbours cut down all the trees along the side of the house. on their side of the fence of course but that's where three of my possums lived and now its just bare no trees, no shade, nowhere for birds to hang out, and no possums. and im gutted
i know its stupid and i tried really hard not to let it get to me but buddies are my one real weakness so my heart is broken atm. i was able to hand feed one of the sweet shy lil dudes
my birds wont come back to my kitchen window yet because it looks so different
i'll get there but right now im so super sad. everywhere i've ever lived people hack trees down that im attached to and they never replace them and it just hurts me cos no trees = no birds no buddies
😢

psa: if your kitty takes food out of his/her bowl to eat it, it may be due to this faggy sounding thing; "whisker fatigue" due to the sides of their bowl being too high when theyre digging their lil faces in
put the food on a flatter plate and they stop after a couple of days, if not immediately ♡

omg that is GENIUS. i love it. you are so right! i'm a very polite person so people assume i'm kind of soft or something, but mostly i let people hang themselves by their own words, and then i laugh.

you guys don't gatekeep here? how come? australians gatekeep a little bit in real life. we can give a new person a bit of a hard time, just to see if they're cool, or if they're uptight and take themselves too seriously. so i understand taking jabs at new people. but you guys are sweet and kind!
it's very unnerving but admirable
