If you ignore a podcaster's provided chapter or transcripts, that's a different story.
I've realized speed listening for over a decade, but that is not altering my work per sé. It's a user's choice to rot their brain and ruin their human relationships.

My only question is this: "If AI conceived it, generated it, and published it with minimal human involvement, and there is no disclosure, that’s where the concern lies."

Who would this concern? The listener?

“Autonomous systems don’t always fail loudly. It’s often silent failure at scale”
This is exactly what I'm experiencing.
However, this article is disingenuous, it is not that "AI systems" are doing "exactly what they are told to do".
I reality, they hallucinate, can't actually understand user intent and often fail to say "I don't understand" or "I can't do that"
Instead AI's confirm an operation that has actually failed.
These things are anything but intelligent.

I've learned how to start a new session when the context window gets full and confused
I use my products and refine them over time, same process. I have multiple scripts that do things, sometimes interacting with each other. 40 years of starting and stopping services, grepping logs and writing very simple bash's scripts filled me with enough knowledge to use LLMs to of fill in all the blanks. It feels very much like the maker era to me, just on a different playing field.

@nprofile…cyex I was a maker in my early teens, connecting wires on my radio shack 100 in 1 projects kit. That's when I built my first transmitter. .2 watts FM.
I am feeling the same joy I did back then, even if nobody will use them but me.
I don't use an IDE. I describe what I want and copy paste entire python scripts, requiring a full re-write for each change so I don't mess up the code hacking around or inserting code changes.

@nprofile…cyex Thank you for sharing this article.
I disagree with a lot of it. I've spent almost a full year vibe coding on 2 products. I don't think vibe coding was even a word then. The process has changed me internally. Knowing what I wanted, having a knowledge of systems but no way to realize my thoughts myself has been a decades long quest. It's been a wonderful journey. And over time I've been able to put these products into production and used by clients who never had anything like it.

Very simpleton thinking here. Without section 230 all social media goes away overnight as they would be embroiled in liability lawsuits.
There is only one solution and that is the ultimate goal: Government issued DigitalID.

We have a total number of donors over time, which exceeds the unique audience AI is calculating. They come and go.
It is a fallacy to calculate total audience size on a monthly basis, or perhaps even any time period.
Moreover, in the V4V arena, we ONLY care about 1 statistic: can we pay the mortgage this month.
Because V4V is time, talent and treasure, we also do not have the expense of producers we would have to pay.

Your comment is uninformed and simplistic.
Why do people think that "celebrities" have it easy monetarily or don't know what "normal" life is like?
We pioneered this entire concept only to see it struggle through changes in legislation, providers, tenological deprivation and jihadi-like "sovereignists" who chased away many normies by constantly harping on kyc, keysend and self hosting.
So yes, it's amazing any of this is still working at all.
