Well, they owned it, it was their project (after buying Xamarin).
Yeah it's FOSS, but you can't just take someone else's FOSS project, put it on your GitHub and claim you suddenly own it. You forked it, you don't own the name, the community doesn't come with it etc etc.

I get it, but, the internet is literally funded by adverts. No normal person can afford to sub to even half the sites they read. Adverts are, sadly, essential. Unless you want more paywalls and less people do cool stuff.

Pick up and play anywhere, with the ability to hook up to a TV is just…so much better!
If Valve doesn’t do a Steam Deck 2 I will be quite sad.

The death of physical media gives me so many mixed feelings.
On the one hand, it's kinda wasteful isn't it. All those plastic boxes.
On the other: you don't know when digital will just be taken away from you. And at some point it probably will be taken away from you somehow.
Makes me nostalgic for the times opening presents when younger, and even only a few years ago, and it was some cool game or Bluray/DVD.

If you give money to a #FOSS project #OpenSource, unless it was some special signed agreement, you don’t get to tell them how they use it. It’s now their money.
For some it’s a hobby, for some it is their job, but either way it’s their time and that does cost money. We all gotta eat and live and pay bills.
If you’re gonna get mad, don’t donate. If you want something specific: do it via a proper signed agreement where you’re basically contracting them. Otherwise, shhh.

I love the power that #Mastodon gives you. Saw a notification from a user on the [@gamingonlinux](https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux) feed, from let's say...a server run by a group of people I despise.
So, thanks to the tools available, I entirely blocked the server.
