Sausage thingie was tasty, especially the horseradish sauce. W/mashed potato and sauerkraut ofc.
But what stole my attention was kvas. Fooken excellent! Very original style. (Very Lithuanian?) The color was less dark than Finnish kotikalja or Russian kvas. Some raisins (?) in it too. It was sweet-ish, but not _sweet_ sweet. Could’ve drunk a liter immediately.
Also the acorn coffee was yummy. Or sssmmmmooootttthhhhh! Apparently a local delicacy too. (Not really coffee, it’s just a name.)

Aamu alkoi railakkaasti viestillä Keskusrikospoliisista, jossa kerrottiin meikää epäiltävän #lapsiporno’n hallussapidosta ja levittämisestä.

Joo, klassisella kotiinkuljetuksella kahvialehack onnistuu. Tilasin 8 Africa-pakettia, eli koko kevään & alkukesän kahvit 4 jörppöä/paketti -hinnalla. Säästöä per paketti 2,67 € x 8 = 21,36 €. Kuljetus 4,50 € + laatikko 0,85 €, eli 21,36 - 5,35 = 16,01 € säästöä.
Kuljetushinnassakin vähän säästi, kun tilasi vasta ensi viikon keskiviikoksi. Tilasin myös muuta perustauhkaa samalla.
Jos vielä enemmän tilais, säästäis enemmän, mutta sitten alkaa tulla vastaan jo kahvien parasta ennen -päivämäärät.

Last day in #Vilnius this trip. Gonna head to CUP #shopping centre. Was ordered to bring some #tobacco to my @npub1yge…wpsp colleague. It's wildly cheaper here than in #Finland.

Syntetisatorsista mainittakoon, että tuon Kraftwerk-vaikutteisen yhtyeen teokset koostettiin täysin ilman koneita.
Konemaisia popotuksia ja tikutuksia tehtiin mm. suulla, viivotinta tai lyijykynää pöydän laitaan nakutellen sekä pöytälampun jalan vieteriä päristellen. Kompit hoituivat nauhurin mikrofonia sormilla tökkien (ja suulla). Myös pölynimurin letkuun mölisemällä sai varsin robottimaista ääntä aikaiseksi.
Kun keksittiin paukutella lämpöpatteria, naapurustosta tuli sanomista.

Black Maanantain tujakka soundi veti vertoja heviesi-isille, vaikka aseistukseen kuului vain pieni akkari ja pahvilaatikkoja. Biiseinä mm. Peltijätkä ja Poranoid (jossa paineltiin katuporan kanssa poraillen kaikkea).

Or if you use Obsidian on computer but regular Nextcloud Notes on phone, you don’t need the plugin either.
But I specifically wanted to sync with Nextcloud _and_ to use Obsidian on both devices. Hence Remotely Save was needed.

Ach, there was another bump too, actually.
At first it was not clear to me at all how to get to the settings in iOS Obsidian app.
Just do an empty vault first, and in the main view of iOS app, click on the gear icon in the right-bottom corner of the screen (see the attached pic).
And you need Remotely Save plugin only if you want to sync the notes to Nextcloud. Otherwise you can use Obsidian’s own sync (not free, but not expensive either), or iCloud.

Install it both on the desktop/laptop Obsidian and your phone. Select WebDAV as the connection method. Server address ain’t just the plain server address of your Nextcloud, you need to add /remote.php/dav/files/YOUR-USERNAME/ to the end of it. That’s the only bump to jump over. (At least was for me.)
Works like a charm. As a bonus, you can _also_ use the Nextcloud Notes app when not on your own devices. Just make sure Obsidian is using your Nextcloud Notes folder as its vault. (3/3)

Wohoo, I’ve become an @npub1g6e…h2zd convert! Hallelujah!
After un-big-teching my ass to Nextcloud with the kind help of @npub18xg…jcjj, I’ve been quite satisfied to it – with the exception of Nextcloud Notes, which pales in comparison to Apple #Notes in every way. Especially the Mac standalone app is slow, old and lacking in features. (1/3)

But whaddayaknow, somebody recommended Obsidian here for note taking hullabaloo, and it sure looked way more promising. (Sorry, can’t find the recommender anymore, but thanks!) So I had to figure out whether it was possible to make Obsidian talk with Nextcloud. And it is!

Lessons learned: check the weather forecast before heading to #Vilnius in winter! Rather stupidly it didn’t even cross my mind. It was 0°C in Turku when I left… Subconsciously expected it to be _warmer_ here, I guess… * Slaps his forehead once more. *

Juu itsekin tulin ravintolaikään vasta moisien hassutuksien jälkeen. Kuullut vain naavapartojen (ja öh, naavaparrattarien?) huimia tarinoita aiheesta.
Sillä välin opin, että Teininkuja johti Teininlähteelle (Djäknekällan), joka oli muinoin melko lähellä nykyistä Teiniä, Vartiovuoren alarinteillä.
Itse kävin Teinissä toisinaan 90-luvulla, kun se sattui sijaitsemaan lähellä meitin opiskelijakimppakämppää. Myöhemmät Teinin reinkarnaatiot vieraampia.

No voihan vimpeli, täällä Vilnassahan onkin _kylmä_! En yhtään katsonut säätä lähtiessä. Ja jätin takinkin vetskarin fiksaamisen tuonnemmaksi, kun eihän sillä nyt etelässä niin väliä ole, saako sen kiinni vai ei… Että jos Turussa on nollakeli, Liettuassa varmaan pari astetta lämpimämpää... D’OH! Juu ei muuten ole.

Kaikki on nyt selvää. Africa-kahvia tulee ostaa _vain_ ja _ainoastaan_ robokuljetuksella (2,90 €). Piha-Saleen 50 metrin päähän ei tule kävelemän sitä ostamaan minun!

En nyt ihan noin korkeaa lukemaa laittaisi kyllä. Töissä webisivulafkassa. N. 1300:sta asiakkaasta vain häviävällä murto-osalla on nimenomaan Meta-pikseli käytössä. Sen sijaan Google Analytics on paljon usemmalla.

Eeppistä luokkaa oleva #kahvi’n hintataso on pakottanut metsästelemään alekahvia kuin jonkun kälviäläismummon sekä kokeilemaan halpisvaihtoehtoja.
Jälkimmäisistä tähän asti huonoja kokemuksia (Coop- ja K-menu -kahvit, katson _teitä_), mutta mitäs hemmettiläistä, tämä Africahan on puolestaan ihan hyvää. Oliks puketti 6,70 € piha-Salessa vai muistanko väärin…

Sain tavallaan kaksi lounasta yhden hinnalla, kun Kotisinappi loppui kesken hernekeiton ahmimisen ja piti täydentää Põltsamaalla. Koko keiton maku ja aterian tyylilaji muuttui siinä silmänräpäyksessä.
Meinas myös pärskähtää hernarit nenästä pisin pöytää ekan sinapinvaihdon jälkeisen lusikallisen ahmaistuani, kun en taas muistanut, _miten_ tymäkkää kamaa põltsis onkaan.

I’ve especially liked Frankie Cosmos (cute #indiepop), Nour Harkati (#Tunisian grooves) and Stavroz (atmospheric #house-oriented semi-electronic stuff with light Eastern-y melodic vibes).

What’s your client app of choice with Navidrome? I’m intrigued to try it out, but there are just tooooo many choices… :-P ... which ofc is a good thing, but a bit overwhelming at this point.
I barely listen music on phone, so an uncluttered desktop app would do. Submariner screenshots look promising in that regard. Any good? (Oh yeah, on a Mac here.)

… aaaand immediately another bug, this slightly more serious. When I tried to edit the message above, @npub1frs…09cc 7 just froze. It beach balled me. This is the second time it happened. Can't think of anything special in either of the messages that might’ve caused it. Usually editing messages after publishing works as expected.
Also, while writing this message, Mona flashed the extra window. So the glitch doesn’t seem to be related to app switching.

On a two screen setup @npub1frs…09cc 7 keeps flashing an extra window when switching from another app to Mona. It pops up for a fraction of a second, and then vanishes. Seems empty, as far as I can tell.
Mona is on the second display. Most of the actual dayjob software are on the main laptop display.
Anyone else having this issue? Doesnt really affects anything, merely a visual glitch. Minor annoyance.

Uu, which pub? Ofc tips on those are welcome too, but since I’m on booze strike, I prob hang more at cafes. With those, I’m looking for places well suited for writing. Coffee itself doesn’t have to be super special, as long as it’s drinkable. But actually _good_ coffee is a plus always!
Local cuisine always interest me, or modern variants of it. But anything goes, really.
Not so much into fanciness. I’d be an elephant in the room in those places… :-P
