Well, maybe the father's name is given to the child because, unlike who is the mother, who is the father is not so obvious.
Interesting facts :
In Quebec, women do not change their name when marrying.
In the new genaration, not all but many, probably most, children are given the names of both the mother and father.

I'm an amateur self-hoster hobbyist and I find this exciting.
I like the Web Number concept.
I had a similar thought, without the talent nor the ressources to impliment it, why not just have a fixed IP adress just a phone number, wouldn't it be simplier?
I was desappointed to learn that my Internet service provider provides fix IPs only to commercial customers.

In french, we mostly use "logiciel libre". (Logiciel=software)
There is no confusion between free as freedom and free as free beer since free as in freedom is "libre" and free as in free beer is "gratuit".
Years ago, when I knew nothing about the open source universe, "open source" would not have caught my attention as much as "logiciel libre"(free/libre software).

I bought it when I read that it alludes to the great dust bowl. I was curious about his because I had never heard of the great dusk bowl.
Reading a little about it, I understand that it is one of the largest man made environmental disasters of the last century. Yet, we never hear about it.
Now this quote a few days after the ceo shooting.

Bonjour,
