Kinda sad... I think the 'No Agenda' guys were on track to be hugely successful with that mastodon site before it got decoupled from the show. NAS could'a been bigger than GAB w/ very little effort.

They'd make you pay extra for rotary dial.

Pretty obvious. And hilarious that Mr. Google is here to tell us about the viewership dropoff since Mr. Dvorak passed.
Whose show was No Agenda? Dvoraks.

Five years free room and board at our expense. And if he has his 10 years of work experience probably will be unable to work due to "criminal record" so we'll be paying for his medical and other benez.
Other than being a human captive to the cell he's got it made.

There is a lot of good news too.
Yeah the ipad kids r my kids... slowed down by both the ipad debacle in high sKooL but more so by the #chinaplague... both kids are working hard and cranking out good results now.
Gr8 thing is they are at the junior college not the Cal State... our JC was historically a feeder school for UC Berkeley and employment at Hewlett Packard. So ironically the cheep college is known for being tougher than our local state university!
Am surprised at how hard they push writing papers and oral presentation. Much tougher than in the 1990s.
The time they needed my help is over! Next semester will be taking Calculus III and Physics II. I'm kinda blown away, really.

It's just weird, not good.
So Howard Hughes flew the Spruce Goose but this guy can't even drive his own product? I mean c'mon.
And his cars look like dog poop.
I really like SpaceX but Tesla seems like a scam.
Meanwhile china is taking over the worldwide car market while the US just sits around. Them: 36 million cars in 2025. The US: 15 million and falling. Maybe five million cars ~2028.
I'd like the US to stop pursuing the slacker lifestyle.

This reminds me of a time when one of the websites on the internet called 'f_edcompany.com' broke the phone.com web browser. I reported it and a conservative chinese guy wanna-be executive had to go through the "web-page breakage" list in a meeting and mention it! He became very shy when mentioning it. Too funny.
There are websites for this and you can leave negative reviews for companies you've worked for in the past on the job sites. I always make sure to praise the good gigs I've had and be honest about the bad ones... coz many people go through those reviews before accepting an offer.
I really liked working for DirecTV as a s/w engineer but lately the others wow. They are more about enslaving people. Well, to be honest DTV had a two floors full of Indian H1Bs in the old Hughes skysscraper where I worked... but they treated the rest of us fairly well. The Indian floor often didn't have aircon wow you can imagine what it was like to visit or have a meeting there! (smelled like pee). I don't want to reflect badly on Indians but wow- that company seemed to manage its bottom line but hiring+treating indians badly. But as a non-indian guy I had a good time there.
BTW thelayoff.com is pretty accurate sometimes if you're going to take a job it's a good place to look for honesty before you say 'yes.'

Got a shiny 1610 in a case at the swap meet for a few bucks during "The Great Recession" when everyone was throwing all the good stuff in the trash.
It is a beautiful thing + I use it all the time.
I like the vertical-printing wheel.

I loved shellfish in my 20s when living in Hong Kong... but haven't touched them since then. My stomach got pretty strong there drinking roasted tea every morning and the usual pick your fish then-watch-it-banged-to-death-on-the-filthy sidewalk sorta treats that were common there.

I looked it up- I like the original "Bank of the Ohio Valley" it has panache and you could make an awesome logo. They repurchased the original building and spruced it up / modernized it. It had been scheduled for demolition. Cool!

We should have studied Greek+Latin in high school+colllllage as survey languages but they're not useful in a modern context except for (a) greater understanding of unrealized meaning in English and (b) reflection [survey languages]
ie it should be a course option instead of the 'environmental studies' gunk.

Also everyone getting their money back in the old-geezer generation (retirement "benefitz") can afford to at least throw cash at the LLC machine. I'll be a joiner in a year or two mebbe.
