I’m currently upgrading my tiling tools to work better with vector forms for future pen plotter projects. It’s fascinating how vectors make it possible to harmonize scale and spacing, and how a few small parameters can shift placements just enough to change the whole composition. I already like where this is going.

I wrapped up a new collage today, built from multiple generative studies layered, re-cut, and re-aligned until the seams began to disappear. I’ve been testing how patterns can function like material, while negative space becomes structure: it separates, but it also connects, letting the eye complete what isn’t there.
Aujourd’hui, j’ai terminé un nouveau collage, construit à partir de plusieurs études génératives superposées, recoupées et réalignées jusqu’à ce que les jointures commencent à disparaître. J’explore comment les motifs peuvent fonctionner comme une matière, tandis que l’espace négatif devient une structure : il sépare, mais il relie aussi, en laissant l’œil compléter ce qui n’est pas là.

A small behind-the-scenes glimpse into one element of my upcoming animated work. This sequence visualizes a Bitcoin transaction block coming together. I’ve long imagined these blocks as two clouds (one of senders, one of receivers) merging through their connections. I just got back from Texas with dozens of photos and videos. The clouds heading into Dallas rarely disappoint. PAC: A Century of Charted Devaluation is a generative visualization of systemic monetary erosion over the past 100 years. Loosely abstracting the design of the 1 Dollar bill, the artwork features 100 rectangles. Angled lines in each rectangle represent the annual inflation rate of that year. Ten centred circles, rendered with varying degrees of cloud coverage, illustrate the diminishing purchasing power of the dollar from 1925 onward. Together, these circles form a diagonal line that crosses through the central “1” of the composition and symbolically invalidates the dollar’s original value. As viewers follow the sequence of rectangles, they trace a continuous timeline of the dollar’s declining worth.
The Bitcoin Art Gallery will present this limited-edition print series by The Art of Freedom collective—a visual protest against inflation, expressed through the work of over a dozen Bitcoin artists. The special exhibition will be held at the Bitcoin 2025 Conference in Las Vegas, NV, in May 2025.
