Can only speak of Catan and played it with a boy around that age. If to complex at the beginning, it's still a good investment for later.
Would also recommend Honga. But from the already mentioned is Sushi Go is a good call for quick plays or warm ups. Azul is also great to start with.

Don't know, what you need that for, but every major post of me delivers usually 3-4 of them from different views. and they all have the right hastag as already. ;-)

We usually go by 150% for 2 players. If a range is given, we take the higher one; for 4 players the higher number times 2. Works pretty well for us with one major exception: Obsession!
The range on the box says 30-90 minutes, which is obscene. In real life, it takes us 2-3 hours with 2P and up to 3,5-4,5+ hours with 4P.
But still a great game and a fun time, every time.

Danke für deine Einschätzung, die sich leider mit meinen Befürchtungen deckt. Im Computerspiel geht das quasi nahtlos ineinander über, auch weil man nicht mit Maintanance beschäftigt ist. Es klingt ein wenig wie "This war of mine" oder "Frostpunkt". Alles tolle Spiele, aber eben nicht unbedingt auf dem Tisch.

Ich bin einer der anderen "alle" die das Spielprinzip lieben. Die Entscheidung, was zunächst dringlich ist und wo man darauf bauen kann, dass es nicht direkt blockiert wird, finde ich spannend. Aber wenn das bei dir nicht so ist, ist das keineswegs "absonderlich", sondern nur ein anderer Geschmack. Ich habe meine Probleme mit direkten Würfelentscheidungen, andere lieben das. Welche Mechaniken greifen denn bei dir und welcher Worker-Placer war es dieses Mal?
