If you're in it for the ping pong, you'll get much more than that, for better or worse. If you're looking for goodhearted people, this is not the film at all. Almost everybody has some kind of typical tricks within them. The soundtrack, while catchy, is odd sometimes since the setting is in the 50's, but there's some good pop music that plays that wasn't released until decades later (although much of the soundtrack is also electronic).
