How to traumatise a whole generation .... all of us could be living in paradise... but instead all over the world people are creating hellscapes
These horrible events are choices that people are picking for us... I used to think it was all about money... now I think it's because some people get a kick from exerting control and pain

I doubt that trumps plan was regime change or preventing Iran's nuclear aims... which was being achieved by diplomacy .. I suspect that it was taken at Netanyahu's request to weaken Iran to allow a greater Israel expansion some decades in the future

Venezuela struggles with record hyperinflation, shortages of basic goods, unemployment, poverty, disease, high child mortality, malnutrition, environmental issues, severe crime, and widespread corruption.
US sanctions and the seizure of Venezuelan assets overseas have cost the country $24–30 billion.
That didn't work so they kidnapped the President, just to get the oil.... they will do a deal with whoever gives them unfettered access to the oil
And Venezuela will still have all the problems above and no oil
Oil control was the objective not to help improve the lives of the people of Venezuela

Just musings... probably completely wrong... but apparently you can get in the UK a £3750.00 grant to buy a new electric car. What would be the uptake if ?
You gave a £3750.00 grant to fit Solar Panels on your property.
By making a household energy efficient with minimal electric bills and allow them to fuel an electric car at minimal energy costs, would it encourage them to get an electric car on a loan
2nd question would a repayable grant say over 10 years supported by the Bank of England add to the debt to a Government if it's repaid.. does it create Gov Debt... or can this be recalculated and re evaluated to aid the economy
Point is getting people to spend money in the economy, creating jobs and more workers earning more and paying more tax

The inequality in society causes problems every where... health and mental health issues , shoplifting and petty crimes, child poverty.
Creating resentment and those disadvantaged lash out at obvious visible targets
Politicians deal with the symptoms, is not solution to address the root cause.
A crackdown of mold and damp properties, while welcome is not solution in housing ... building affordable council houses is ...
Creating jobs is ... implementing redundancies and employing AI to cut labour isn't
You wouldn't care so much about migrant accommodation... if those migrants were working, you were doing OK and the migrants were adding to society and spending money
Lack of money in a good chunk of the population and the hoarding of wealth in a small portion creates issues that runs through society.
To say racisism is on the rise and not blaming inequality is a mistake imo

The United States has informed the guarantor nations of the Gaza peace agreement of credible reports indicating an imminent ceasefire violation by Hamas against the people of Gaza.
Like Israel supported Hammas to break to prevent and split any potentially uniform Palestinian Authority
Apparently they are now arming other military factions in Gaza to cause internal fighting.
On another related topic, it was credible reports from Israel that accused Iraq of having weapons of mass destruction.

Lolita" is an English-language term defining a young girl as "precociously seductive." It originates from Vladimir Nabokov's 1955 novel Lolita, which portrays the narrator Humbert's sexual obsession with and victimization of a 12-year-old girl whom he privately calls "Lolita"
Epstein's plane was called the Lolita Express for that reason.... Providing underage sex to wealthy people
Everyone on his list should be named ..
Paedophiles used the plane to go to his private island and are on the list.

One of the maxims I work by is
Everything will cost at least twice as much as budgeted.
It will take at least twice as long to do as originally planned.
And will only be half as successful as envisaged.
Never surprised when all or part of that happens. As evidence I offer HS2
interested if anybody else has home spun rules of life

2025-07-12 02:38:18 GMT

The UK needs to do three things to build the economy quickly
1. Bring auditors into investigate HS2 .... Someone is profiteering on a massive scale and finish the fucking disaster quickly ... Do what is needed to finish it and prosecute the corrupt overspend criminals
2. Build council/social housing in vast number... Drive rents down ... Give people decent environmentally quality housing and renovate empty properties on the high street
3. Set an ambitious green energy plan and keep to it to generate what we need in a target plan to be self sufficient in a few years.
To do this we would need immigrant workers who would pay tax ... Not sponge on benefits
The aging population statistics need changing plus you cannot cut to a thriving economy

Like with all things political ... The UK immigration policy is a bit of a knee jerk reaction ... And the UK is not alone in this in dealing with the perceived problem ... Little boats in the channel ... And not attempting the underlying issues
We created the immigration problem by bombing fuck out of places and installing governments and making places unsafe..
Not sure of the solutions but supporting countries to sell us goods and creating somewhere where people have jobs, an income and where they can live in peace and educate their kids
Pie in the sky... Probably...., is it easy.... no... but something has to be done rather than swapping immigrants and solving no problems

2025-07-06 09:45:24 GMT

During the Vietnam War... Troops drug taking was endemic... Such that the US gov expected a massive drug problem from returning soldiers
Never happened... As stress was removed and the quality of life improved the need to take drugs dropped
Same everywhere as the quality of life improves, crime drops, drug taking drops, health improves especially mental health improves and suicides drops etc
The Role of Government is not to perpetuate austerity and enact cuts but to improve the quality of life and remove external stress for it's population not just the wealthy, the land owners, landlords etc
You cannot cut your way to improve the quality of life

2025-07-06 01:08:21 GMT

The pay inflation cycle game can be broken by controlling prices
Fair rent council houses in sufficient number breaks the escalating private rents

2025-03-05 07:48:17 GMT

Tips for living in this world
Don't deal with nasty people unless you really have to, and cannot step out of the way.
Buy less... You don't really need most of the shit you Buy
Buy British, Canadian. Etc .. support your own.
Shop local ... Use Public transport ... Join a Union
Protect those who need your protection... Especially children
Do no harm... Especially to children ... If you don't follow this piece of advice you're a cunt.
Remember... There is no two points of view with Nazi's, Climate change morons who say it's con, Dictator and wannabe dictators like Trump, IDF, Zionists, Nutters, Gobshites
There is only what is right ... Don't support or encourage wrong ( get off X)
See the evil ... Speak the evil
Fight abuse in all it's forms
Etc

2025-02-22 08:05:24 GMT

It would appear in the USA that Trump's Government is not enacting a Government for the people...
By creating more deck chairs in the sun and opening new canteens on the ship
And, not just rearranging the deck chairs but actively throwing lots of them overboard, putting holes in the lifeboats and sacking the catering staff
The Ship, by the way in this analogy, is the Titanic

Like how the #Conservatives fucked it up and never voted allowing #LabourUk to gain control
#Labour are doing the same .. you don't fight Reform and #Farage by matching them
You fight them and #Nazis by providing a better way.
Sure wealthy Nazis provide the money, but Politicians provide the audience by espousing inequality
But create a more equal society by taxing the rich and supporting the have nots, social house building, NHS, pensioners etc and you get a ground swell of support... And you stay in Gov
Don't do that and you get a Nazi Government

I could go on , but what would you do ?

I am certain that there are things produced in the USA that are essential that we import into the UK
But if we had to, could we do without most USA goods?
We need to face facts that Trump's America is not a good friend,.. and not even a friend at all
There is no special relationship.... And Trump is an abusive business partner that we should part company with or at least treat as hostile and at arms length

And unfortunately the number of homeless will increase as there is no plan or concept of a plan
Also increasing is the number of families with young children in temporary accommodation.
Years of inept Government continues.

And the financial world and Governments applauded... In the US they have the additional burden of Health Insurance.

It's the world as portrayed .. Everytime you see somebody doing well.. Every time A politician says (Biden did it recently) the economy is doing ok.. Employment is up.. Wages are up
The poorest is says where is my share.. Why aren't I benefiting if everything is improving.. Why is the rent I cannot afford going up.. Why if energy companies are making billions can't I afford to heat my house.. no work today Etc
And politicians say "immigrants"

Seeing lots of beautiful pictures of Auroras North and South from areas that don't normally see them (or do they?)
I know they are the interaction between solar flares and the Earth's magnetic lines.
Are they more visible now due to climate changes or it just a phenomenon that has always been visible at these places?
Still not seen them yet

I get the feeling with labour... One that don't really know how to make 'things' better and Two they are not aware of the consequences of their actions.

It occurred to me that if you want more Drs, Nurses, Medics, Dentists and Teachers etc you don't burden them with tuition fees for most of their working life.... Similarly you don't have to put more money into the same people's pockets .. if you stop taking money out of it monthly to pay the said fees
It has always seemed wrong for Government to give with one hand and take with the other.
Plus let migrants awaiting resident status to work , part pay their way without benefits and pay tax

The Greens want to introduce a new wealth tax of 1% on assets worth over £10m, and 2% on assets worth more than £1bn.
They say the new wealth tax would affect fewer than 1% of UK households and raise £15bn a year by the end of the next Parliament, with the money going to the NHS.
Works for me

In the 80's the Mersey was an open sewer... After decades and with EU legislation the Mersey started to get clean ... Then Brexit and the polluters took advantage and with the lack of consequences we are back where we started.
Pollution of our waters is not inevitable... We didn't push shit into our streams, rivers and waterways prior to Brexit
Why now?... So companies can make profit that's why... Get a grip Labour when you get in. Impose EU legislation.

Here's the thing...
You can say... More operations will be done... Doesn't make it happen.
You employ surgeon, nurses, staff etc... They do more operations.
To do more with less or the same, fucks up with the people you have and ultimately they fail and the Plan to goes to pot and the targets go backwards.
Applies to ever target..
Cannot have more child care places without carers
Politicians start talking about employing people

I'm all for apprenticeships.... But creating them in bulk without bulk jobs is daft.
Witness call center operators with degrees
Create jobs... With say a massive council house building program and you have something to attach apprenticeships to
Other wise you drive down wages... Lots of skilled people and few jobs

When politicians want something and the propaganda works they use the 'will of the people narrative' .
When the population want something like a cessation of events in Gaza and the propaganda hasn't worked, the politicians fall back on antisemitism, hate protests by leftist agitators... And send in the police.
Not very democratic is it.
All peaceful protests should be allowed, protected by police.

How fucking ludicrous is the USA airdropping aid into an area of Palestine controlled by an Ally that you all supply money and weapons to that is causing the humanitarian crisis in the first place.
The Israeli IDF would not be able to wage war on Palestinians without the US.
The US could stop the atrocities tomorrow...
US airdrops are a sick joke

The IDF have a history of destroying vehicles and killing the drivers.

A massive program of building quality social housing would alleviate so many problems and kick start the economy.
Well that and compulsory purchasing and renovating the many empty properties.
Apart from upsetting landlords, I cannot see a downside.

The reason the UK is turning into a shit hole in no particular order is:
Benefit scroungers
People in little boats crossing the channel
Councils that cannot budget
Mob rule (my new fav)
Foreigners who are not Christian or white
Workers who want a share of Profits/living wage
Not:
The Wealthy who avoid tax
Corporations who for some reason get Gov Handouts.
Corrupt Politicians
Employers who underpay staff so that they have to claim benefits.
Greedy energy co's and supermarkets who profiteer

Israel's IDF is breaking multiple international Laws in Gaza and the West Bank ... FACT...
Why? Because lots of the Int community says Israel is breaking Int Law, but not forcing them to stop and is complicit in selling offensive weapons and Israel is emboldened in telling the UN to fuck off and stop interfering.
Israel has no intention of stopping and never will allow a two party solution.
I have no idea of how this ends, but it starts with the rest of the world ending weapon sales

All the talk from UK politicians is a boosting the economy and growth ... It's never about improving the lives of it's citizens.... A huge boost to the economy would be killing all pensioners... Having people on minimum wage with zero hrs contracts .. cutting civil servants to the point where gov services cease to function .. cutting the NHS, teaching, Care etc to the bone... But I guess all that is happening at a speed below the radar.... Fuck the economy and look after the people

2023-12-30 21:11:24 GMT

The USA dilemma... Trump is totally unsuited to be President for too many reasons that can be listed .. Biden supports Genocide in Gaza... Mind in the UK we have Sunak who is clutching at straws to not lose the GE and Starmer who will do anything to win the GE ... Both trying to appeal to the same Right of Centre audience... With the appeal of Labour being they are not Tory... We are being let down by politicians in both countries who are failing to cope with a changing world.
