I really wish professional-grade digital art programs were available on Linux. Blender is great for 3D, but there's not really anything of that caliber for 2D art.

Very fun looking at a new (to me) programming languages and seeing people act like very reasonable features would be the worst thing ever. Like, C# folks think checked exceptions are horrible, but coming from Rust I find it baffling that you simply can't know when something is going to throw an error.

fwiw GNU Imp isn't a GNOME project per se. It uses our infra, but it's not part of GNOME and doesn't follow GNOME's release processes or project governance. It's in the GNOME/ namespace on GitLab for historical reasons.
It was previously on the old GNOME CGit alongside many other third party apps, and for a time all apps that were there were put into the GNOME/ namespace. For a few years some newer third party apps got moved into that namespace, but nowadays we keep it to things that are official. Old projects remain due to the hassle of transferring namespaces.
I'm not fond of the name at all personally - I was the one who opened the rebranding issue years ago that lead to the Glimpse fork.

The story was way more interesting when Snoke was some unknown old man trying to reforge the empire to his own ends, manipulating Kylo Ren to do his bidding. It was so much more interesting when Kylo and Rey then cut him out of the story, opening things up to forge a new path. And then the writers squashed all of that cool stuff!!!

Snoke being a clone/"strandcast" of Palpatine is really dumb and completely unnecessary. Going back to Palpatine for trilogy #3 was also unnecessary. Both choices are things that frustrate me so much about TRoS. Star Wars could have gone in a cool new direction, and instead they decided to say "erm, it was actually all Palpatine all along"

And please understand that we want to do better, and we're actively working to do better.

It's very convenient to write people who criticize you as "privileged white guys" while ignoring all of the non-white, non-guys that are simply fed up with your bullshit.
Instead of ranting for days and insinuating that multiple open source communities don't care about accessibility - in response to a post where people are trying to build tools and connections to improve accessibility - you could do something productive.
This isn't a "patches welcome" response. But it is an "issues welcome" and a "promotion welcome" response. You have a massive platform. Use that platform to help make a change. You can start by helping people understand what actual issues exist. "$THING is broken" is not actionable feedback. Help break down what's missing from our accessibility stack for the use cases that matter to you or those you know. Then, use your massive platform to direct attention to those issues in a productive way. Call for volunteers, or try to direct funding to people who can work on the accessibility stack. File detailed issues that can help isolate bugs. These are all ways to contribute without writing a single line of code.
Also: why not promote the people who are trying to do better instead of admonishing people for past mistakes? People like [Lukáš Tyrychtr](https://news.itsfoss.com/red-hat-accessibility-gnome/ ) and [Matt Campbell](https://blogs.gnome.org/a11y/2023/10/27/a-new-accessibility-architecture-for-modern-free-desktops/ ) who are working to not just reach feature parity with old systems, but to go beyond by modernizing our accessibility infrastructure?
