Yes, you can use the sun like that to obscure your lights. Also the ambient heat from the roof. If you're near it will prevent IR camera from detecting your plants from above via helicopter 🚁
A joke but I cannot count how many times some hippies used to get busted up for growing Rosemary or something under a bunch of lights.

Like you think there'd be overlap, but there's never really a lot of overlap. It's kind of weird actually.

so blackberries the only time I've seen them really around they were growing up a fence like just perfectly sitting there. I never saw them go anywhere but their little fence and that's what they did. Their whole lives must have been almost a decade. I was going down there to the river by that fence and they were just chilling there and never did anything else.
What are these things doing when you have them? 🤔
I was planning on planting some thornless varieties but I am becoming afraid.

Just wait for it. I'll die doing it but this is the last thing I do. Jacking land from old piece of s*** boomers and either turning it into food forest or turning it into communes. Tell you what I don't want to live in f****** Walker county. I don't want to live in f****** Bibb county. All they have out there is meth, meth and raiders on said meth. They also don't have building codes hahaha.
Export food, import solar panels and sniper rifles.

yeah, this place is tilting. I literally can't stop or this whole forest is f*****.
It seems to be mostly contained but I see it spreading here and there.
I'll have to go after it like a truffle hunting pig this winter.
Those mystery cactuses too. They are everywhere and do nothing but stab me.

I would never throw any sort of Ivy or mont in a compost pile.
I've never tried but considering how things have been going I think you'd just end up with a huge pile of Ivy.
What's your describing obstructing light like that my forest does on its own to some extent.
Eventually the ivy will break through it, but it takes them an awfully long time.
Some of it's pine some of it's theater. Some of it's oak. Some of it's sweet gum. I don't know. There's more kinds of trees out there than I can figure out at this point. The forest floor though keeps most things at bay, at least for a while.
Everything's just constantly buried under a thick carpet of leaves and pine needles.
And millions of bugs :')

It wants to eat my pavilion and my cedar trees.
It will eat this entire forest if I don't keep it contained.
I find it in other places now. I don't know how it's getting there but it's already escaping.
I can't poison it. I can't pull it up. It just doesn't work.
If I cover it with plastic or cardboard it just grows out from under it and eats that too.
Pretty sure it likes being set on fire so that's out.
I'm going to try one last time to just cover it all with cardboard and tarps and bricks and anything I can find.
When I found it it was trying to eat the cinder blocks so I don't know how well that's going to work :/

I have a bunch of these Mimosa trees. They're getting out of control, but at the same time their flowers are a regent. They are a precious gift, but at the same time I fear they will be all that's left at some point.
There's also these weird cactus things that don't seem to need sunlight. I thought they made edible flowers or something but no they just spread everywhere and stab people lol.
I have until winter to decide what to do.
I read all over the place that hostas were invasive and you could never get rid of them. They're one of the few things here that I can actually eat but they're just sitting there where they've been sitting for the 3 or 4 years I've been working out here.
The only thing I'm sure about is the English Ivy.
It must be stopped.
I wish the fool that had this place before me had just planted some oregano.

Anarchist are very good at the principles of organizing :)
Many of us fought shoulder to shoulder over the years. It was glorious.
Seems to mostly be farming these days but hey that's part of it as much as anything else.
Every person that learns how to sustain themselves, that learns anything at all really is a little seed of hope.

The radiation from the Sun seems to tamp things down during the day. Seeing things like that out of the corners of your eyes is how the sight begins.

I personally am a radical gardener but you know I also will usually vote. Sometimes it kind of offends me with who they have up there though...
It's a dumpster fire out there. You can do just all kinds of stuff at once you know?
Personally, I have a little "pocket of personal beliefs" going on out here with my forest. It is however not lost on me what happens if Donald Trump and his cronies win this election.
And then Joe Biden blew up 20,000 children so that kind of complicated things. But you know, just from the pure unemotional true neutral druid standpoint. Donald Trump is now aligned entirely with the fossil fuel industry. No matter how depraved things are, one thing that is always certain is math.

I only speak as I do because I spent a very long time thinking about this problem. In the end my conclusion was that it is the way it is because it's just easier to be a piece of s*** *shrugs*

A trillion dollars a year in fossil fuel subsidies. As long as no one cares our planet will burn.
We might be doomed anyway but we are absolutely 100% screwed as long as there is a trillion dollars a year of wealth transferred to the people boiling the Earth.
