@nprofile…y62z i really do think that if there was a linux distro that truly reached "just werks" status people would switch to it in droves because most people are fed up with microsoft. unfortunately it will never reach that point because too many people have their head up their ass about how linux is supposed to be elitist and anti-user friendly

i'm starting to think maybe i should just give up on fedi/social media entirely. idk i'm too old and tired to be an edgy shitposter anymore or to get into drama or hold grudges. besides i have an actual life now and i don't want to spend my free time making myself feel worse.
i really appreciate fedi cause i feel like i can be open and honest here in ways i can't irl or on any other platform. but all i want to do is make friends with people i don't like seeing drama or just needless antagonizing. maybe i'm the bad one for wanting to treat people with respect and compassion rather than vitriol. but if that's all it cracked up to be then maybe i should just do us all a favor and just leave.
