I often think of it from a boxing point of view. Financially speaking BTC is an alternative system or a counter punch in boxing. A counter punch doesn't make sense by itself. It's only half the scenario. You'd need understand the punch being thrown at you to understand the counter punch you should throw in return. I think this metaphor translates to BTC in that pre coiners need to first understand and remove their false narratives about the existing financial system. Then you can describe BTC and it makes more sense. Like a punch thrown and it's counter punch returned.
Same reason why Bitcoin Standard is mostly about existing financial system and less on BTC itself.
The technical can be for those who really want to make sure they understand or delve deeper.

Devs should be building off of UX specific design to guide them otherwise it gets lost as they never actually approach a site from the point of view of the regular non tech user. The user experience of devs is v diff from regular users. Or double your budget and timeframes to account for a second round to get the UI right. Some thoughts anyhow. Probabaly many ways to skin a cat.

Nostr being open source means it will grow organically and at its own pace. I think this is good. VCs arent usually interested in this as there is no obvious ROI or exit strategy. They are interested in strike missions with high ROI. Scams and shitcoinery lend themselves to that as people are easily marketed too based on emotion and being broke. Game Stop is a good example of this. People say I cant buy a house, afford to live but maybe if I gamble I'll win and if I dont then I was gonna go broke anyway.

catalyst is the idea that comes to mind as i read your post. these people viewed 'correctly' are catalysts for you. By muting them you remove their ability to help you learn. muting them is the first reaction and perhaps in the final assessment its the only way forward for you but I think first they are to be viewed as sources of inspiration for your continual growth.
i had this same experience yesterday as I realised a person I despise will be geographically close to me in a week or so. It made me shut down, instant depression and axiety. couldnt sleep. old memories conjured up of various kinds. like a trigger for all my anxieties in the world. i almost fell into a hole.
then i reframed my thinking as per the above. i meditated for an hour and viewed this person as catalyst and asked 'what am i meant to learn from this lesson?'. Immediately I was given a few answers and almost always they come back to me needing to be better at some aspect, improve my attitudes and paradigms in some way. In the end we can only control ourselves.
I didnt mean this to sound preachy so hopefully it doesnt. bless you.

I was reading about some of the cryptography this is based on a few days ago. Elliptical Curve Cryp, assymetrical keys that allows the ability to have a public ledger full of transactions signed by a private key which is only known to the owner but can be verified by the public as being from the owner. All without the owner revealing his secret key. Was cool to try and understand BTC at a new layer for me!

I've noticed there is something that I havent been doing and perhaps am not good at which is cultivating emotions in others via my posts. For eg Madex BTC art account has very emotive posts that make you feel something (against the state for eg which Bitcoiners love) and hence want to buy as a way to connect with the feeling. This is something I aim to work on in my own posts as time goes on.
For eg this post above is very factual in its content and doesnt relate to the art in terms of an emotion to make a reader feel something. I have been doing similar posts and I think maybe best to try and evoke an emotion with a post as well as your account more generally.
I wrote the above and then noticed the video which I hadn't at first.
The video with music is a nice touch and did give me an emotional response but unfortunately in my client it was blank and didn't want to make me want to click it. When I went out of my way to do so it was actually quite nice. I wonder if it might work better in other clients or perhaps best in all clients as a social media post from another platform (how ironic!) which may give a better preview.

I find my anxiety is 'smart' in that after some time of doing one particular method it becomes less effective so I need to come up with new ways or ways I haven't done in a while to carry on the benefits. Tricky game! I haven't done breath work in a while but I should revisit. Weed takes me in all sorts of diff directions other than calming but Mushrooms and Ayahuasca seem to work for me.

Is there a better way to say the below?
Working on a presentation and would be good to get some peoples views on this. Not sure I've worded it well. Specifically the part about rates of halving being a consensus rule.
"Nodes enforce the consensus rules with which transactions are prepared (by Miners) for addition to the ledger.
For example if Miners create a block without the correct “rate of halving” (which is one of the consensus rules) then this block of transactions will not be let on to the ledger and the Miner would have expended the cost to mine that block without reimbursement."

Couple comments on the process and UI:
Adding he passphrase could be enforced before showing the form for better UI. I didnt understand that there was a box there below til much later and thought there was just a bug.
500 char limit seems low and I hit it with my description - just. Text is easy to store no?
Dialogue box to add images takes an age to come up with no hint to user that its working behind the scenes.
I'm on Mac, Brave browser which is arguably the problem tbh. I'll try with Chrome next time and see if it helps the dialogue box issue.
Otherwise seems cool man! Is there any stats on how many people are visiting the site etc?

OK here is a brief version of a convo I had a few days ago with a friend about #Bitcoin vs Residential property investment. I was asking him about ROI and such on property investment. He's a property investor and construction guy so he's well versed. This is in Australasia to be broad about location but think it applies elsewhere also.
Bitcoiner: Last time we spoke you mentioned a 50% ROI on property investment as what you were aiming for. How long before you could realize this you think? Is 5 years fair?
Property Guy: Average property increase is 5-6% p/annum however being able to borrow so much against property means on average you get a 5% or 50,000 ROI on a $,1000,000 house with a $200,000 investment.
Bitcoiner: Ah so 50% gain on initial investment might take 2 years with this setup?
Property Guy: Yeah but haven't factored in expenses yet. Rent on $1,000,000 property would likely not cover interest payments on a mortgage of $800,000. Then factor in insurance, local govt rates (ie taxes), insurance, property management maintenance etc.
Bitcoiner: I was wondering about costs. How much is left after all those expenses after say one year timeframe?
Property Guy: None. With an 80% mortgage you would likely have to add more of your own money to cover all the expenses on top of rent. It is only when your equity % is higher that it becomes cash flow positive.
Bitcoiner: So how long to get enough equity to become cash positive?
Property guy: Hard to say. Lotsa variables. Maybe 7-10 years. By then you will be reducing your loan amount (interest payable) and rents would be expected to have gone up. Its a slow process generally and making money in the short term relies on getting a bargain initially, development or catching a boom.
Bitcoiner: Bro the property game sucks.
Property guy: You looking to get in?
Bitcoiner: No just wanted to understand the property investment ROI and timeframes better. You realise Bitcoin over the same period of 7 years has gone from $628 USD p/BTC to $70,000 USD p/BTC and the cost to hold it would be only a couple hundred dollars that entire time?

Way I understand it is a bit diff.
I think death is not final and therefore universe still continues to experience itself through that individual. That individual would exist as a non material entity and perhaps come back to the material realm if needed or perhaps move on. materiality is just one form the energy with which we are made of can take.
I also just looked out the window and saw a tree. What if we are like a leaf or a fruit on a tree. An individual in some respects but still part of the tree as a whole. When the fruit or leaf falls to the ground it nourishes the ground further with its biological material and serves to 'update' and further give its experience back to the tree as a whole. That same tree then produces more fruit.
What if, to add to the tree analogy, we have not only a material fruit body but a spiritual (non-material) fruit body that can reincarnate into another fruit body after it dies. This is as I understand it how Vedic (Hindu) scriptures think about humans and other material entities.
Just randomly thought up the tree analogy. Unsure if it works just ideas :)

I'm working on a presentation called 'Why Bitcoin?" for Non Bitcoiners and I have a draft I'd be happy to have critiqued with respect to the logic I'm using in it.
Would anyone like to provide some constructive criticism? Its very much a draft but the general jist of what I want to say is there.

I think towards the end I feel like I get a little unsure of what I'm saying and not sure its good or not. Like the part where I compare vs other investments.

I try to keep an eye on new developments in potential new energy generation so as to see if the debt can be rebased with an increase in productivity. This doesn't break Bitcoin but buoys the existing debt system by increasing GDP. Might sound odd but if those UFOs that people have been talking about more intensely these last few years are real tech (I assume controlled by govt not real aliens) then whatever is powering them may be a sign of an energy tech that has been hidden from us from the powers that be. A Bitcoin node is a computer running Bitcoin software that communicates in the Bitcoin peer-to-peer network. It can readily validate a new transaction from its peers. It can also sign (to prove ownership of coins) and broadcast a new transaction (which spends its own coins) across the network for validation among the peers. The primary function of transaction validation is to prevent double-spending, i.e. to ensure that the outputs (coins) in the transaction have not been spent by any of the previous transactions."
