You had this issue earlier with the The Paisley Daze feed where some apps picked it up and others didn't because the index flagged it as spam.
If you're going to do this, you should have some type of feedback back to the artist saying why their feed isn't showing up.
It's beyond frustrating to have a feed not show up for no clear reason.

I think wallet changes and lack of options made things harder. Fountain is still the only free option for sending sats. Options for receiving sats have gotten better though.
I have an IRC bot for sending/receiving podpings that I could probably turn into a website or add to the PI website.
Does Sovereign Feeds help for your feeds? Podcasting2.org is a good resource for finding tag info.

The api.openhive.network and hiveapi.actifit.io endpoints weren't working for me earlier. My bot is primarily using api.deathwing.me now.
Interesting that that one uses v1.28.0 whereas the others are using v1.28.3. I wonder if there's a version difference that I'm not accounting for?

I tried to keep it pretty close to what Partytime outputs except for database ids and separate tables for chapters, transcripts, etc (since it has no item ids).
Some of the Partytime rules might need some cleaning up too. For example, it does string trims on newsfeed titles and links but not descriptions, but does do trims on item descriptions and itunes titles but not regular titles.

Try loading Alby Hub on your computer and use the secret words to set it up. You shouldn't need to open a channel to see if it has a balance or not.

I thinking of the case where someone reinstalls Helipad and it has to batch load a bunch of previously received rss::payment records. Nostr would be more efficient for that than fetching URLs one at a time.

@nprofile…60s3 Hrm. I've only used it on the user side and it seemed easy to use.
I know it uses mailbox relays to route messages sort of like how NWC uses Nostr relays to route messages.
I can see Brian's point. It would suck to not be able to use Lightning with the podcast apps because they depend on Alby's Wallet API that is geoblocked in his country.
At the same time, there are ways to solve it if he wants to solve it. NWC seems like the clearest solution. Complaining doesn't solve anything.

The deprecation notice you pointed to was for SendPayment is replaced with SendPaymentV2. Keysend works V2 and here's the Helipad code to prove it: https://github.com/Podcastindex-org/helipad/blob/main/src/lightning.rs#L188-L271
The LND doc change you pointed to seems to be a correction. You can leave it as keysend for now. Lnaddress can use keysend or lnurl depending on what your wallet supports.

@nprofile…y5nd It lets you move to something else in the future if you want. Otherwise you'll have to update a bunch of feeds with new addresses.
