Good idea. They are not advanced yet, so the best I think is if they have some place (mempool.space, my lnbits instance, etc.) that they can open in the browser and that shows them their balance. They are not even at a stage where they would spend it in any way.

What's the best way to custody bitcoin for your family with some transparency? It's not worth to give them a hardware wallet and send the coins directly due to the small amounts. LNBits and give them an account that they can see it?

I can confirm that I experienced the same on a regular basis with CLN and a Tor-only node. Has drastically improved recently for some reason.

Have there been any major changes in CLN or Zeus recently that would lead to faster lightning payments?
I have upgraded my raspiblitz recently and my Tor only node suddenly completes all payments in around 1-4 seconds, where before Zeus usually timed out (but eventually sent the transaction after the UI timed out)

The best thing about Zaps is that they allow me to test my lightning node and Zeus via Tor every day. It's an easy way to test if everything works, and at the same time send someone some sats. Just nice!

I'm currently running on PI 4 with 2 GB of RAM. The only thing I don't manage to do is to have the electrum index and mempool.space explorer running in a stable way. Do you reckon PI 5 with 8GB would achieve that from your experience?

What is up with Kraken? The fee to withdraw is currently 0.00167 BTC. It hasn't gone very low in the last months, even if there were low fees onchain.

Fair point. But it's all about tradeoffs to me. Purpose built hardware (like hardware wallets) = more prominent targets. Generic hardware = more responsability on the user to verify the software manually
