Argentina 🇦🇷 overview of the week:
- The Government stated before Congress that it could return to the markets in mid-2025 to issue debt "at reasonable rates." Although the country risk has decreased, it should continue to decrease so that the country can borrow at a rate of less than 10%.
- The dollars from the money laundering remain in the banks: only 10% of the total deposits entered were withdrawn
- Inflation: according to the Fundación Libertad y Progreso, the end of the PAÍS Tax could reduce the CPI by 0.6 points, although spread between December and January, and would help the Government to speed up the exit from the cepo (fx restrictions)
- The Government issued debt for $5.81 trillion pesos, covered maturities and obtained a surplus of $1.59 trillion pesos, which will go to the BCRA, to pay future maturities.
- The economy will likely drop less than 3% this year, exceeding the forecasts of the IMF (-3.5%) and the Government (-3.8%). The INDEC strongly adjusted the evolution of the economy upwards after the performance of the third quarter and the good data that are coming out this last quarter.
- Argentine companies estimate a salary increase of 48% in 2025, in line with inflation, and anticipate a reduction in the number of salary adjustments to an average of four per year, according to the report on Salary Increase Trends in Argentina (TISA) by the consulting firm Mercer
- Congress approved a project to prevent child gambling, with prohibitions on online betting advertising and requiring biometric verifications to block minors. The Association of Lotteries, Casinos and Quinielas of Argentina rejects the measure.
- Open skies: The Government authorized Paranair, a Paraguayan 🇵🇾 airline, to operate the Asunción-Córdoba route. With this decision, there were a total of four airlines authorized this week.

Yet many have been conned into believing that personal and economic self-preservation is immoral and unpatriotic. Festivals are a mini version of a CBDC. You prepay with a digital payment method (debit or credit card) to prepay and charge the festival card.
There is no way to transfer money in or out of this closed system from the outside.
The card is only usable on the festival grounds and there is no refund, so the money has an expiration date as well (when the festival ends).

Currently reading River of Darkness, about the trip of conquistador Francisco Orellana across the Amazon river. At a certain point in the book they cross these San Rafael Falls by walking to the other side over some planks (one member of the crew doesn’t make it).
Turns out that today, those falls are gone. On 2 February 2020, the falls collapsed into a massive sinkhole behind the layer of hard volcanic rock that formed its lip, creating a large natural arch spanning the Coca River.
The natural arch also collapsed about a year later, leaving a gaping ravine at the former site of the falls. During its brief existence, the natural arch may have been the longest in the world, surpassing China's Xianren Bridge.
The waterfall itself receded upstream as a result of rapid upward erosion, and disappeared within months as the river carved a new, more gradually descending channel.
The collapse of the falls has significantly altered the Coca River, with a deep new canyon appearing upstream of the previous falls and large volumes of sediment being deposited downstream. Erosion upstream has destroyed several bridges and pipelines and, beginning in 2023, threatens to undermine the Coca Codo Sinclair Dam, which was built upstream of the falls in 2016.
This is the before and after:

Since active UN members are aware that the 2030 goal post is unattainable (what a surprise, lol), they moved the goal post to 2045.
What does the UN Agenda 2045 propose?
💰It makes all international financing conditional on compliance with the 2030 Agenda
🕰️ It moves the horizon of compliance with the points of the 2030 Agenda to the year 2045
🕵️ It approves the Global Digital Pact, which forces social networks to reveal user data
♻️ It imposes on countries a "lifestyle" linked to recycling so that there is "zero waste" and a "circular economy". It asks that all investments have a ‘sustainable economy’ component
🌎 It strengthens all forms of global governance, weakening the sovereignty of countries and their scope of action
🤡 It modifies the structure of the UN Security Council to include one permanent member per continent. Brazil 🇧🇷 is included in LatAm
🔫 Purchase of weapons is limited to spending on social, gender and environmental policies
🏥 It is indicated that all forms of care are work, including family care, and that it should be subsidized by the State
🤡 Indigenous traditions must be respected even if they are contrary to the laws of each country
Argentina 🇦🇷 will not support clown policies that censor the freedom of its people.
