RetroFun.PL

An #8bit #retro enthusiast from :flag-pl: Poland, raised with an #Amstrad #CPC, proud hoar... owner of Commodores, Ataris, old Macs... I love it all, and I like rediscovering it and tinkering with it.
I'm also into #3dprinting (want a new case for your retro extension?), sometimes paper #printing (want a CP/M System Guide?);
almost a video creator (I got stuck in the editing for a year), but at least happily posting on retrofun.pl

:amstrad: :pixelheart:

I also run 8bit.red.

The note above the header looks like an accidental filename/note name inclusion, indeed. The content is 100% manual-like.
You overestimate me, sir! But I could try to do some digging... (you triggered my ADHD, drop everything, something exciting happened!)

i got lost on the last two words, please elaborate.
I could just as well say "I resent corporate social media" in general.

One of my 27 hobby projects is recreating and re-typesetting my favorite computer manual, 100% vector.

it's WiFi to _what exactly_? I've heard the name, saw it in stores, but never read a good doc on it :D

You know what the best way to work with a computer is, right?
Read the manual, try things, and HAVE A DEDICATED NOTEBOOK. Must be handwritten.

Move over, AMD vs. Intel: there's a classic rivalry in the computing world that arguably laid the groundwork for modern personal computing and gaming. Zilog #Z80 vs. MOS #6502 !
A new #article inspired by the fact that even most *modern* 8-bits are either Z80 or 6502. #retrofunpl

#Westworld is not only a modern tv series.
It started with a movie in 1973 and a book in 1974, both by Michael Crichton.
The original movie seem to have glimpses of #assembly code pretending to be the robots' programming.
The code looks like actually some digital movie/animation production software! in 1973!
Does anyone recognize what assembly flavor, what CPU might it have been?

I should do, or even redo sometime in the future, an #introduction finally.
I'm from Poland and have grown up with an #AmstradCPC, which made me two things for life: a #Software engineer, and an 8-bit retro enthusiast.
Today in my home you'll find: all the #Amstrad CPCs, an #AmstradPCW, a #MegaPC, #Atari 65XE,130XE,800XL, a #C64 and a #C128, #Amiga 600 and 1200, a couple of #MSX and #ZXSpectrum, some obscure ones like #OlivettiM20, old AT PCs, old laptops, printers, a #PowerMac and… a PS5.
