sorry, it is not clear from your description. When the app is updated, it may have new map data. When we release an update, we announce it on the web site. You get the announcement via rss -> likely you can update the app and update the map data. We plan to automate map updates too.

On iOS, you can copy map files into the app using File Sharing. On Android, you need to use the adb tool and the path where your system stores maps.
Note that the map data version encoded as YYMMDD should match the app version (printed in About).

Android documentation says: Returns the estimated horizontal accuracy radius in meters of this location at the 68th percentile confidence level. This means that there is a 68% chance that the true location of the device is within a distance of this uncertainty of the reported location. accuracy is already displayed on the map: you can be anywhere in a blue curcle around your arrow. The blue circle is usually small with a good GPS signal, and large when your position is located using WiFi or cellular network/IP address.
