Got a letter from the ophthalmology department at the hospital regarding my recent visual field test (which I had totally forgotten going to, yay memory!)
Anyway, apparently my eyes are basically structurally/physiologically fine (or "unremarkable" as the letter put it, which in these circumstances I assume is actually a good thing rather than a mild diss). 😆
So if I'm not seeing things, it's probably not because I _can't_ - I'm just not bothering to retain the information after it reaches my brain. Lazy or what!
I'm not sure what I do about that now though. Maybe I should set up the Wii and start playing Geometry Wars again? What might encourage my eyes and brain to pay attention to my whole field of vision, or at least the entire central area?

You get far faster at reading it than you'd expect, but it's not quite as quick as glancing at the clock in the corner of your monitor 🙂

It's been really noticeable in my various interactions with the #NHS the last 2 years just how shockingly fast they're losing their best staff. Easily half of my favourite therapists have had an active plan to relocate to Australia or New Zealand within the next year 😢
They will get more money, fewer and/or easier hours, and the active gratitude of their politicians instead of the active mistreatment they're getting here in the UK.

@npub19lt…qfjk I think one of the recent legislative boundaries set around them has really fucked up their targeting. I mostly get ads for SMEs with highly localised trade areas... from all over the UK. Especially Scotland. I don't think they can be allowing their customers to geotarget smaller areas than "this country" at all any more.
I don't really understand why anybody would still be paying for that bad a service but I guess people are locked in by the time they've invested in learning that particular ad ecosystem.
