Is there a good benchmarking tool that could help quantify the improvement? I imagine any cpu benchmark tool would do the trick. Unixbench?

This is really interesting. I had heard it could help but never thought it could make such a difference. I just pulled out the L5 again today so I might give it a try. I should finally get a Peltier square attached to my case. I have a few somewhere. How hard could it be?!?
