There are far more ways of rugging yourself through dice rolls.
Don’t hop on what these retards say.
Use 24-12 approach if you are really worried:
1) let the device generate 24 words seeds
2) use coinflips/ dice rolls to generate 12 word passphrase. This can be done totally offline. You can use bip39 diceware, print that out.
3) By this method you will generate an additional entropy of 132 bits. Which will make your wallet in hackable. Just remember to back up both on 2 different seed plate.
4) Go for the best hardware provider, don’t be stuck in open source bullshit. Go for someone who gives you larger screen and allows that big passphrase.
5) If you think this approach isn’t good for you, just buy a hardware wallet that’s like in top 5 ( ledger, trezor, bitbox) and let it generate the seed. The randomness generated via these hardware wallets are far more better.
6) If you think that open source solves this type of bug, you are wrong. You will always need to trust a company a bit. Even a company is open source, if they really wanted to fuck you up, they can create a backdoor in their hardware.
So it’s better to choose a brand that takes the security of their wallet seriously.

Dude you need to read about how multi sig works. In 2-2 multi sig, you still need the xpub. Know the sequence of how you created the multi sig at first. After that which derivative pathway it used. Let’s say you used sparrow to create your multi sig but didn’t saved your xpub, now after 10 year sparrow wallet isn’t there any more, how will you construct your multi sig if the new wallet doesn’t use the same derivative pathway that sparrow used?

Totally agree people have shit to do rather than always worry that if their entropy was good enough or is there a backdoor in the hardware.
I personally started with ledger as my first hardware, then upgraded to cold card because it was open source, air gapped and shit. It totally shook me.
Ironically I’m back to where I started in my hardware wallet journey lol.
Passphrase + single sig will still be my go to. Won’t use multi sig or DIY projects, just to get rekt.

I added my entropy via passphrase not seed phrase.
Unless you do elliptical curve equations via pen and paper, you will be trusting a software.
I’m not a cryptographer, so I let my device generate 24 words seed plus I use dice to generate my 12 words passphrase using 4 dice h/t method. It is done totally via raw entropy.

As I’m going through and researching about hardware wallets, these bitcoin only open source crowd has been psyoped by these scumbag VCs.
Coldcard was mostly used by hardworking plebs, who saved for their future generation.
