For any wyoming folks, or anyone who wishes to, the following petition supports a business's right to operate amidst some public backlash that has largely, to date, been more vocal than the support.

I think it is more a response to social structure and relati9nship dynamics.
If you're falsely accused of murder you're viewed as a criminal to he sure, but rape accusations bring further social stigma and pressures because rape is universally considered vile amongst normal people. Basically the social consequences of the crime of rape or accusations therof are seperate and greater than the social consequences of other violent crimes.
On the relationship side, people of both genders have felt betrayal at some point and a rape accusation, whether honest or not is a largely feminine power to socially destroy a man's standing in a way that betrays what may have once been a perhaps loving but certainly private relationship.
There is probably something to he said about men holding an irrational fear of the accusation but I think its unfa8r to say that it is entirely caused by misogyny.

🦆 Duck Harvest All Wrapped Up! — Thoughts from the Pasture 🌿
Just processed our 2025 batch of pasture-raised ducks at Cackleberry Farm and Garden—36 birds at 8 weeks, a far cry from the intended harvest of 150! But I consider that a blessing at this point, I have never wanted to quit more than I did this year!
Our ducks are moved daily across fresh ground, fed organic, and given the care only small farms can offer. Prices are up ~30% this year, and signage updates are coming soon (once I dig myself out from under a pile of feathers and fencing projects).
We operate under the food freedom bill and thus do not sell across state lines, so if you're in Wyoming, ask about “soup kitchen” bundles—delicious, affordable, and great for tacos. Let’s clear some freezer space together!
Lessons from this season:
An 7 week duck plucks a little better compared to 8 weeks. Even though I like the size of 8 weeks better in the freezer. I’ll time future harvests to match the 7 week molt.
Cheap bedding cost me dearly. Going forward, it’s pellets and biochar only.
ONLY.
That scalder I need costs as much as a quality used car— and the opportunity costed that is real.
Whether you’re a homesteader, maker, thinker, or just here to learn—NOSTR has room for more than just financial charts. Let’s grow this space with real stories from the field.
Also, tell-tell sign that AI assisted in the drafting of this post is them emojis!

I borrow against cash using Shared Secured Loans with our credit union, rates are 3% over what the dividend rate is. I use this to manage recurring annual expenses to ensure I have the capitol on hand the following year to make the purchase again. I intend to use it for future vehicle purchases as well, 3% is half pr less of going rate for vehicle loan and when it's "paid off" the cash is available for the next vehicle. If a payment cannot be made, I can forfeit that payments value from the loan with no hit to credit

Sup Nostr peeps!
First, a confession: I am a serial procrastinator, particularly with any sort of web or computer work. Which has proven detrimental to my farm newsletter and other content creati9n activities online...
And thus, my journey with utilizing AI to generate content continues. below is this week's newsletter converted to a Nostr post:
🐝 Buzzing Into the Season: Lessons from the Apiary 🌿⚡
Spring is in full swing, and our bees are deep in the hustle—expanding hives, optimizing honey production, and making the most of every nectar flow.
This year, we installed five new packages, hoping to bring our hive count to eight. But, just like in homesteading or life, plans don’t always go as expected. Two new hives successfully established—one from a typical package, the other a unique colony merger.
✨ Current Hive Count: 5 active hives
🏡 Homa Hills: Trialing a Demaree split to boost honey production
🌾 Webb Creek: Testing productivity to see if the travel is worth it
Bees, like humans, work tirelessly to store and protect their wealth. Their honey is their hard money—produced through effort, stored for the future, and protected from external threats. In the same way, Bitcoin and gold represent human effort crystallized into sound money—scarce, valuable, and independent of manipulation.
We’ll see how this season unfolds, just as we watch sound money play out over time. Meanwhile, we’re here in the field—learning, adjusting, and stacking our honey reserves. 🍯⚡
#Beekeeping #HardMoney #Bitcoin #LocalHoney #RegenerativeAg #ProofOfWork #Goldbugs
AI drew the hard money corollary for me, what do yall think?
I will say AI utilization more emoji-speak than I would lol

🦆 Spring Hustle at Cackleberry Farm and Garden 🌱
Spring is officially in motion, and we’re deep in the season’s hustle! Fresh pasture growth, longer daylight, and plenty of projects in the works mean a busy but rewarding start to the year.
🌾 Pasture Pens in Progress
Raising strong, healthy ducklings requires well-built, movable pasture pens that protect from predators, sun, and Wyoming’s unpredictable winds. We’re refining our designs—though a miscalculation means we only need two of five pens for now. More time to perfect the rest!
💦 Sustainability Efforts
We're trialing plastic mulch in the garden and working on a greywater system for irrigation—RO filtration is on the horizon. Every step moves us toward greater efficiency and ethical farming practices.
🛒 Market Prep Begins
June 14th is our first farmers’ market of the season at The Milkhouse Farmer's Market! Located at 67 S 6th Ave in Mills! Pasture-raised duck will be available—come stock up and taste the difference.
Spring brings momentum, abundance, and learning. Thanks for being part of the journey! Follow for updates, and feel free to reach out if you want to chat farming, sustainability, or duck husbandry. 🚜

once again I find that the services I seek are rare to non existent in the market place, I suppose I'm just too strange for cookie butter services.
for years I have avoided entirely the idea that one can invest with stocks, having been a sound money guy for as long as I have been working. when younger I've held precious metals, today that and bitcoin, but I find that had I allowed some previous 401k accounts to grow I would be better off today.
so I have begun to lo9k more seriously at this idea.
if we engage in investing as day traders or speculate on trends and market predictions I have no choice but to agree with my younger self, we are GAMBLING.
yet I believe now that through proper analysis and understanding there is a place for free markets and sound money to invest in solid businesses and to see a return on investment from that risk taken, I think that if the correct stock is chosen than long term investment is the only proper course of action. and that decisions to buy and sell should be based on fundamentals and not stock price.
However, for someone with as little capital as myself I find it hard to locate a money manager that shares these views, does anyone on nostr know of a good firm to open a discussion with?

the wyoming food freedom act has been in place for about 8 years now and passed under a much less favorable legislature. it prohibits the state from preventing the production and sell of many uninspected foods.
there is nothing that prohibits private inspection in wyoming, but the sort of businesses that operate under this legislation typically allow customers to inspection or are otherwise transparent in operation. from my understanding current law allows grocery stores to sell uninspected products produced under food freedom bull so long as they are stored and labeled separately from inspected goods
certainly no reason to get hopes high, particularly since i should have began mobilizing for the legislation at least a year and a half ago, but likely to be introduced i think, probably not likely to make it to the floor but should it make it i expect at least 35-45% support as is, Potential for passing IF it makes the floor and there is enough grassroots effort behind it, which a petition, especially in hostile districts could help with.
but again no high hopes, session starts in another week and a half or so

thanks for bringing some humor in, so easy to overlook things in legislation!
1) specify "domesticated" species in above proposals
2) adding teeth to prevent state officials from ignor8ng the law would be nice

2025-01-03 15:11:46 GMT

alright nostr:
3 bills, how would you word them?
1) food freedom expansion: rendered fat from all species shall be permitted to be rendered on Farm and sold direct to consumer provided the producer discloses lack of inspection
2) restaurants and food trucks have the right to cook with ingredients and serve foods produced under food freedom bill provided they notify customers of lack of inspection
3) all farmers and ranchers within the state have the right to process any species on Farm or through custom processors for direct to consumer sales, again provided there is disclosure that processing is uninspected.
I am late to the game and because I have to work, won't have time for much of the activist portion of this task so unsure of how successful I'll be but I'll be sending these proposals to the legislature today
