For three long years, an entire family lived in anguish. For three years, the people of Gaza and his loved ones bid farewell to Adham al-Banna, whose passing, along with three of his brothers, was widely reported.
His fiancée and family lived in the certainty that he was gone. A mourning ceremony was held, and condolences were received. So great was her love and her desperate search for him that his fiancée sold her gold jewelry, and the family pooled their resources to hire a lawyer to search for his body and remains... just to know where their beloved would be buried.
Then, in a moment that defies belief, it was revealed that Adham had been imprisoned in the occupation's jails and had been released two days prior, returning to his family and fiancée.
A human miracle. May God help every family who knows nothing of their children amidst a devastating war that has affected everything—stones, people, trees, and all aspects of life.

An Israeli airstrike targeted a civilian car near me. I survived again, but sadly, not everyone does.
An 18-year-old girl, on her way to take her exams, was killed in this attack. She was trying to continue her education despite all the circumstances and challenges she faced.
I keep thinking: What was her crime? She was just a student trying to finish her exams and hold on to her future.
I survived today, but after hearing about her death, I wished I hadn't. It's painful to realize that while some of us survive these moments, others lose their lives simply trying to keep going.
May God have mercy on her soul.
