Update on spelling kid. She got out on the word “caisson.” She couldn’t see it in her head because she was singing the Army song and spelled it “cassion.”

@npub1dty…dr66 and I have a kid in the national spelling bee. It’s wild to be here. She did not study. So if anyone has suggestions for things to do or places to eat in DC, we have probably some free time after preliminaries.

There’s a bunch that I won’t pay Lego prices for. The super star destroyer I bought him was Lepin brand. And the sticker said “STAR WNRS”

@npub1dty…dr66 has survived another trip around the sun putting up with my nonsense. And there has been a lot of it, particularly in the last few days. I volunteered him to drive the school’s float in the town’s Christmas parade. He made his own early birthday fajitas yesterday so I wouldn’t screw them up. Then he woke up early on his birthday today to make ribs for a bunch of kids at our kids’ school.

That’s the nonsense my dad pulled at my sister’s wedding. He drove 3 hours to the wedding and left before the ceremony because he felt he wasn’t greeted properly by my sister who was still getting ready. He went straight back home and skipped my brother’s high school graduation the next day. Needless to say, my sister has only spoken to him once since then and my brother rarely does.

Disney’s Fantasia has female centaurs. The 1940 version, they were all topless. The later version covered them with flowers or zoomed in to avoid showing anything.

It’s my puppy’s birthday. He’s 10 years old in human years. Some charts say he’s 66 in dog years, others that count for “giant” dogs say he’s 79. He’s super awesome for being in a room with 11 kids.

One of the HR went to the pumpkin patch for a field trip and they give away free pie pumpkins. He refused to get one until I told him those are the pumpkins that can be made into a pie. His eyes widened and he vowed to get the biggest one so I could turn it into a pie. So that’s what I did today, homemade pumpkin pie and bourbon whipped cream.

My mom and stepdad are ridiculous individuals in the middle of buying a house, should close next week. It wouldn’t surprise me if their interest rate is higher than 7%. I know the house they’re buying was appraised at double last year’s value, which I pointed out to her.
If that’s not ridiculous enough, they’re actually giving up free rent at the apartment complex he works at in order to buy a house 30 miles away from his job.
I thank God for @npub1dty…dr66 whose logic keeps me sane.
