it's assumed an unconscious person consents to whatever you have to do to save thir life. Apparently it's been tested in court and the complainant lost. The ruling was along the lines of "if he hadn't ripped your shirt off and put a defibrillator on you, you wouldn't be alive to sue"

they also had some anti-lockdown signs for some reason, even though we haven't had lockdowns since 2021 (and even then, you could go out to the shops or work, or even just go for a walk)

In the assessment with the baby mannequins, somebody asked do we need to ask consent?
The answer: an unconscious baby can't give consent, but the parent said "save my baby" so you have it already

Sales drone update: a different person from the same company called me, I said after reading the fine print I've decided not to switch, she said "we can offer plans from $45 a month", I said "yeah, for 3 months, then it's $90" and there was stunned silence

did you know that ignoring a "Residents' vehicles only" sign can get you arrested for trespassing and your car impounded?

2026-04-13 11:12:37 GMT

Parking update - the offender doesn't even live in this street, let alone this block of flats. The head of the strata committee had Words with him, and the car was last seen parked in the next street over

2026-04-09 22:24:38 GMT

Parking update - something happened. Last night when I got home from work, both spots were free. I correctly parked in just one spot, then saw that the offending vehicle was parked in the street

South Australia has an election in 3 weeks. Today I got a text from a party which has been accused of planning to force their religion on everyone (which would be unconstitutional). They say they're not a religious group and it's just coincidence that only members of one particular church are interested in being their candidates
