What will happen to the man when he gets to that point? npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 I saw a toot in the last few days about some USA trade body (?) complaint regarding the lack of big rig truck sales in Europe. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 "Only, callous comfortably off civil servants could believe that immediate repayment is even possible!" npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 Not wishing to pick an argument with either of you or the esteemed Martin Lewis. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 Today we should celebrate the anniversary of the death of one of the great enemies of the British working class and trades union movement. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 was the audience member also staged or just luck? npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 from observing my own grandchildren since June 2009 my personal belief is that they are very keen observers of what people around them do. They're particularly good at working out how to operate TV remote controls, they have no fear or understanding of breaking something, changing the default language to something nobody in the household understands is a piece of cake, the temperature setting on the washing machine is fair game and can be changed at any time. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 Happy Birthday npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 this is a bit of a tangent to your post but it was because of the impact on the middle class that the Tories added £20 a week to Universal Credit in 2020. Because of the lockdowns they were suddenly faced with thousands of people having to claim UC. People who lived in the Tory heartlands. People who would suddenly realise that the benefits system was not in fact the luxury free for all that the Nasty Party and right wing press had been banging on about for years. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 some people have the wrong idea about unclaimed benefits. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 It's ironic and annoying that some junior civil servants are on the National Living Wage. They might well be working on MW enforcement work. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 It's bad enough that the CPS saw fit to bring this case to trial. The prosecution then questioned her sexual preferences. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 any chance of a radical government creating rent controls that will reduce rents back down to 1999 levels? npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 I haven't got the same worry regarding our existing boiler as you have so I haven't been chasing anyone. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 I've not been pushing at all, my experience so far. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 My #FANuary boost for a person or account on Mastodon that makes my Mastodon experience a little better goes to – npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 Nationalising essential utilities – like water – should not cost taxpayers anything at all. Sounds like a bloody good solution to me. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 the Bank Of England has an explanation that I didn't find very explanatory so they may not know either, in my defence I've only had 1 coffee so far this morning and I'm childminding the latest grandson. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 I'm fully in favour of ending RtB across the entire stock of social housing and the sooner the better. I'm not sure why the focus on new properties unless a phased approach is intended. What will be defined as new? This feels like a muddled policy to me. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 Really enjoyed watching the biographical film The Life And Deaths Of Christopher Lee that I recorded on Sky arts earlier this week. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 Invoking the Blair 1997 election victory doesn't inspire me with confidence. The initial euphoria of that election wore off as it became apparent that we were getting Tory-lite policies. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 The #UK #Housing market needs complete reform. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 I have lived and worked in NE England amongst the Geordie and Mackem tribes since 1989. Many of them think of Manchester and Liverpool as the Midlands or Southern. npub1u8n3vk85ycdsn7uswcccc2trtnsjmzu35grwt0ruqw22aggkzj2qk4wg9z Frantic 🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺 Originally from the bird site, source not known. Also did you know that in the case of the water privatisation debts were taken on by the taxpayer.
