Last Notes npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 This is just the beginning of the learning curve. That will change rapidly. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I guess we should steal anything else they have of value while we are at it? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I totally agree. You are not going to beat Twitter by trying to be Twitter. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Okay, I've been looking for something new to read that's not in my typical genres. This one sounds interesting and I'm gonna give it a shot. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I think nostr’s day in the sun will happen the next time we get some topic that the government feels should be censored or whose open discussion needs to be controlled. Think vaccines or the wuhan lab topic. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Kids need to learn to question everything, and especially when it comes from a negative narrative. Those are usually the most suspect points of view in my book. And this applies to everything, not just Bitcoin. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Who does not? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 It’s going up no matter what he or any other government official says or thinks. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I suspect the entire effort will have limited success. There will be some headline wins but the spending will continue regardless. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I’ll volunteer to take on the title of cousin. You can come to our family parties. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 What exactly did she say? What else could have possibly contributed to inflation? A bunch of people out of work with little or not money to spend? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I miss going to a library in college but not for the books. Maybe for the peaceful environment. Great place to raise curiosity. Not a great place to find answers. I’ll take google and llms any day for that. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I really hope this takes shape. I am much more of a Reddit user than I ever was a Twitter follower. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Twitter is trying to find a way to handle raising good content to the top without having a way to game the system. The same challenge Nostr has and will continue to have over time. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Totally agree. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Yay npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 This is just more endless criticism of anything Elon tries. This method of filtering garbage sounds like a good idea to me. The proof will be in the outcome not in what Elon haters post here. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Take these statistics with a grain of salt. UNICEF had an incentive to make all these statistics as concerning as possible. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 As soon as I saw you had a great search you brought me over immediately. Tempted to become a legend but I think it’s better for the space and these types of tools to keep that recurring revenue coming in. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 This is just FUD. Anything is posible but this particular outcome is legally very unlikely. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 If @npub1a2c…w83a say follow @npub1csa…z4x9 I obey. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Does anybody have a good list of accounts that are on Nostr because they were banned from other social media? I’m mostly interested in accounts that fell on the wrong side of things like vaccination or election debates. #asknostr npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Hard to justify if you have setapp. Keyboard maestro is must have. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Back to playing with ai art. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Who will protect the children? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Same question here. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I am on the fence if to switch to Godspeed from things. I already paid for things but Godspeed is very good and part of setapp. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Anything that brings down the size of this beast we call government will get channeled into growth. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 The less the government does the better. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Some love to Dead Can Dance. #dcd #deadcandance #music. https://image.nostr.build/58692e126ef0e0e700126c4f9b41d22408a45d32af1999abf0bc94bab22949b9.jpg npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 21 million. It’s all you need to understand. The rest falls in place with some basic logic which is best left to the user to reason through. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 It’s funny to think how many people probably have never heard that song and have no idea how incredibly popular it was. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 More people need to listen to these candidates in long form interviews and make up their own minds. Caring about the narrative the media is pushing is so wrong. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 How do I subscribe outside of fountain? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Yeah, I would hope they share their views within the group because nobody can really be banned from the group, but those that want to only pay attention to a subset of users of the group have a way of doing that although I think that’s to their own detriment. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Well, I know in Lemmy you end up with many communities on the same subject but some clients let the user join communities under a single banner, which is somewhat helpful but I don’t think that’s the ultimate answer for the most part. It does seem like communities win out based on number of users, but you always end up with somebody that doesn’t pay attention to that number and participates in the community with a few users. I do think Lemmy is a good test testing ground for figuring out what works. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I take a different view. I think moderation is hopefully not needed. What is needed is some way to differentiate topics within a community. As far as banning users, I would hope a group approach would work. Like maybe if enough community members mute a given user, your client can pick up on that signal and start muting that user also. Not ending up with a million communities for the same subject would be nice too, but not sure how you avoid that one without centralizing. I think there is a lot of cross functionality between circles of trust and communities. Maybe circles of trust can have a community-specific circle. Should this thread have some community hashtag? I don’t know what that hashtag is. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Ah. I have played with communities before. They are different than hashtags? I thought what I had read was that it was an idea that was getting deprecated. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 On nostr what is the best client to accomplish a lemmy or Reddit like experience. I like following topics more that individual people. Following hashtags is really not the same thing. Is that the closest you can get? #asknostr npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Rakim by Dead Can Dance npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I LOVE the community on nostr. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Why do we want less porn? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 For me it’s 70% nostr and 30% lemmy. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Been there once and dying to go back. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Less need for the overseer to give a shit. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Heard that same thing about every single new social media. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 The universe is just screwing with you. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I started reading it with issue #1. Wish I had kept those early ones. I remember them stacked in my basement. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 And we stand in awe. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Now it’s guaranteed. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Jaja. I love this one. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Happy Petrov day. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I find these debates silly. I will say there is nothing about Android that makes it better than iOS. In general you will find apps you wish you had on Android but very rarely the other way around. Apple has some core tech that Android can’t touch. Examples would be shortcuts, iMessage, notes, encryption, reminders, Siri (yes Siri), consistent ui and many others. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 What does overthrowing the established reign mean ? More users? These kind of posts are just spam on the nostr Network. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I did some investigation and I guess it’s based on a couple of nips that aren’t quite ironed out yet. I hope this stuff gets implemented elegantly inside of nostr some day because I much prefer a Reddit type interaction to the endless free flow of Twitter. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 What are communities in the #nostr #amethys app? I don't see any other client that implements this. I assume it's something other than filtering for a hashtag? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Did you learn anything? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Most people that have achieved this "personal relationship with God" have had years of brainwashing to achieve it. You're just going to have to put in the time. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Yup I agree. I think this whole control over speech that all these systems try to implement is worthless. I had hoped Mastodon would be an improvement but I realized in practice it just further fragments the speech censorship. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 And they will spend years litigating this nonsense, and in the end, regardless of outcome, they won’t have made a dent in the problem. A whole bunch of lawyers will make lots of money along the way, and politicians will make many speeches about the subject. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Welcome to nostr. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I’m glad you’re happy but someday you’re gonna wake up and understand the real issue. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 You can’t censor npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Think of the children!! npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I bet there are all kinds of subsidies for recycling that create these kinds of incentives. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Trump doesn’t believe in anything I really doubt he even understand what bitcoin is but for the time being it might get him some votes so he loves it. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I will never get why so many people don’t like this film. I really wish the alien franchise took this concept much further. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Everyone is on their lists and it's probably the main reason they are so ineffective. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I sigh every time somebody says we need a law about some issue they find offensive that day. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I think people that bring this up have seen too many James Bond movies. He consistently says things that make sense. Nothing could be more psyop then the patriot act so I guess our entire government is a psyop. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Nice tutorial. After importing my key I can’t get any post or reply to do anything other than give me flashing circles and then bounce back to the editing window. I also don’t understand why my latest feed is filled with stuff I don’t follow. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I've tried to read up on bluesky, but I really don’t understand what makes it significantly different and worth my investment of time? I can definitely understand the value of something like Nostr or the Fediverse but what exactly does bluesky bring to the table? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Always npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I just watched your original video the other day because I was confused on how to setup zapping and modify my profile. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I’m overwhelmed with all the networks that are available. Wish somebody had answered. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I think the etf will be sold into but I also think that selling will be very short lived and will not be very deep. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I loved how respectful you were of so many topics that could have been touched but were left alone. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I just don't see how banning anybody plays out well. The solution is people moving away and unsubscribing from bad content. How you get there I'm not sure. Maybe things like community notes on Twitter can help. There needs to be a source of truth out there that is neutral when something controversial is said. If somebody says things that are untrue or harmful and that just raises their follower count there is something fundamentally broken. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 “Thwarted” or walked away because they were nonsense upon simple inspection? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 That comment is usually made by somebody that’s jumping on the criticize X bandwagon. Most things X is doing are more nuanced then that comment captures. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Interesting. I wonder what that is for? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I have the same question. What relays should I use and, if I pay for one, which and why? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Hopefully, Nostr can help us resolve some of the greatest dilemmas of our time. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 iOS keyboard with integrated Al? npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 Great excuse to test an ai keyboard: npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 I find the candidates constantly snipping at each other turns me off. Just like twitter this free flow of posts with at most tags as a way to stay on topic is a mess. npub1uck73ulgm7pmrey2wr7ajhj270x8m5dxtnngvpr0k5uc7gcwf65smgzwa2 Vamp07 This is something with nostr that I've never quite understood. If I create a note for it to be seen, I and the other person have to share at least one relay in common?
