It is definitely AI slop! The Instagram account it originated from (a self-described “digital creator”) is littered with visual inconsistencies common with LLM image generation tools.

We don’t get many birds on the ground in our garden (I suspect because there are a lot of cats in the area), but I just spotted a female blackbird gobbling up some worms from the lawn we sowed last year. All that effort lifting paving slabs: worth it :)

Since google searching for inspiration only yields product links nowadays, I’m appealing to the all-knowing #garden owners here for advice:
What would be a good use of this bit covered in stones? It’s doesn’t get much light, so I’m thinking of turning it into a bed full of shade-tolerant plants OR laying a deck and making it a seating/ potting area of sorts. I’d also love a pond but prob not the best spot for it. Any ideas welcome, especially if it benefits #wildlife!

May garden update!
The grass is doing well and won’t be mowed this month for #NoMowMay
The bees are LOVING the alliums that seemed to have popped up from nowhere and the poppies are popular too. Bellflower is starting to flower, and perennial cornflowers are emerging amongst the remains of tulips.
We also have for the first time (having been devastated by aphids last year), field rose flowering!
Hoping to plant out soon: morning glory, foxgloves, asters and lavender

Spring update on our lawn: success, for the most part!
We sowed seeds as evenly as possible back in Autumn, however heavy rains may have washed some away.
A few weeks later we re-sowed along the left and bottom edges but did not rake so its possible the soil had become too compacted at that point.
We’re planning to once again rake and attempt a third sowing around the edges when it gets a little warmer.

We removed part of the patio and are planning to sow a #lawn! The ground underneath is a mix of soil, stones and patches of sand. Plan is to lay some compost and leave it for a couple weeks before sowing #grass seeds.
First time doing this so #gardening advice appreciated! Particularly on levelling/preparing the ground and ensuring the surrounding path doesn’t become a trip hazard.
(We can’t transport heavy equipment but there is a tool library nearby that we can borrow hand tools from.)
