Avg daily blocksize reaches its limit pre-spam fiasco with inscriptions.
Right now those fluctuations in avg daily block size are naturally reoccurring, regardless of the state of affairs - look at the dates on that chart.
BIP110, the contents value can be debated - but one thing can't be debated:
The tactics used to try & push this through we're not akin to how Bitcoiners have gone about things since inception.
This one was different, it used political tactics against Bitcoin Core instead of intellectual frameworks.
That worries me more than anything, and you shouldn't be part of that resolution.
Getting your way at all costs makes sense in an emergency, but this isn't an emergency, that's what makes this fiasco reek of misinformation, misjudgements, or flat out stupidity, or worse.

Here is the daily avg block weight, re how many megabytes a Bitcoin block on avg is being stuffed with per day.
We've had peaks and valleys, any change in this data is not meaningful enough to give up on Bitcoin over, not even remotely close.

Bitkey improvement recommendations:
1. Allow for a second Bitkey to hold the same wallet so you can clone the device and put it in two different locations.
2. Allow for a second App Key, I should be able to create a dedicated phone as a backup for my main phone. You need the app to create receive addresses, but I shouldn't be carrying one of my keys around me with no backup somewhere safe.
If they make these improvements I could recommend it for whole stacks with more confidence.
I like the emergency contact idea to recover the app key.
I like the idea of their inheritance planning.
They listen to feedback, hence the 2nd gen having a screen.
Hope they continue to implement user feedback because it's a good project, just not there yet fully (for me).

Different setups work for different people.
Some people the wallet config file, it stresses them out and can be difficult for an heir to figure out if the worst happens.
So a 3of3 or 2of2 is a super viable setup, backups are needed.

Choosing your own passphrase is not a standardized way of ensuring a secure wallet, entropy ✅.
Creating two seeds with proper methodology provides peace of mind and redundancy.
Tbh 3of3 is even better if you want to geographically separate your seeds between 3 secure locations with backups.
For ex, you have 3 safety deposit boxes:
You keep:
Seed1 & Seed2 in Box A.
Seed2 & Seed3 in Box B.
Seed1 & Seed 3 in Box C.
Backups:
Seed1 exists 2x in both Boxes A&C
Seed2 exists 2x in Box A&B
Seed3 exists 2x in Box B&C
Scenarios:
Box A becomes corrupted.
- Seed1,2,3 exists in Boxes B&C
Funds are safe ✅
Box B burns to the ground.
- Seed 1,2,3 exists in Boxes A&C
Funds are safe ✅
Box C gets robbed.

Upgrading from singlesig toa 2of2 multisig makes a lot of sense.
1 seed could be derived from a device you purchase, like foundation or Trezor.
1 seed could be derived from your own physical non digital entropy like the physical BIP39 word list.
If you buy a seedsigner they give you the ability to roll 100 dice or use their camera to generate your own physical entropy.
Essentially giving you two sets of 24 words, with each set having its own unique entropy & randomness during creation.
You can then store this as you did your single sig setup, for example in a safety deposit box.

Do you plan executing a multisig?
A 2of2 or 3of3 is a good option for a lot of single sig users.
You just have to keep your seeds with multiple backups and you don't need to worry about the configuration file that alot people allude to with multisig.
Only if you have a 2of3 or 3of5, when the N of M doesn't match do you have to worry about the configuration file if you lose one of your seeds.
Any multisig setup doesn't need the configuration file if you have all of the seeds used to setup the wallet.
If you don't plan on executing a multisig, I want to know why not?
