Judging by the logs you posted, the download completed, and it is failing at the next step: `getvar (has-slot:userdata)`.
Can you check if `fastboot devices` on a terminal returns something? to make sure fastboot is working

Do you know about Fluxer? it was mentioned today by @npub1cxq…6wtz and looks interesting.

I have written a blogpost about my first mainline driver, that lets you use night light on #LinuxMobile smartphones from the last 10 years, but also laptops and tablets.

Following the advice from #postmarketOS maintainers, I submitted my nightlight patch to the LKML.
Once it will be accepted, it will become available for all the phones using close-to-mainline kernels, without having to manually add the patch to every repository.
Upstreaming the code to mainline is the only way of supporting hardware in a sustainable way (from the effort point of view), and everyone benefits of our code.

I just completed my first mainline driver!
My goal was to enable night light on OnePlus 6 using #phosh on #postmarketos.
It was a missing DRM GAMMA_LUT support in the Qualcomm Display Engine (DPU) driver.
I used the downstream kernel as a reference and found the LUT format by trial and error on the phone.
It was a difficult but very rewarding experience.
I pushed the code here https://gitlab.com/sdm845-mainline/linux/-/merge_requests/137#note_2807562800

I'm super happy to tell you that I have become a @npub1vnu…8mqn Trusted Contributor!
To me it's a great way to give back to a project that I have been following for years and is now running on my main phone.
Let's keep on hacking together! 💻️💻️💻️

@npub1kzg…mdvv I realized the reason why I feel slowed down while typing on phosh-osk-stub.
When typing quickly and two kepresses overlap, so when second key press happens before first key release, the second key is lost.
Is this a known limitation of phosh-osk-stub? or maybe a missing touch panel multitouch support on OnePlus 6?
Do you have some insight to share on this? I can open an Issue to track the discussion.

Hi @npub1kzg…mdvv, I recently bought a second hand EV (Nissan Leaf) and was intrigued by this application you wrote: https://gitlab.gnome.org/guidog/phosh-ev/
I decided to add Nissan API support to it and it was a very fun project 😊
I used pyO3 to call this python library meant for Home Assistant and it’s working! https://github.com/dan-r/HomeAssistant-NissanConnect
I just need to figure out how to handle choice between Kia and Nissan and I will open a MR.
