I noticed something interesting while looking at some AI-generated code.
It was making the same API call repeatedly without any caching. The requests were almost identical, happening over and over again.
At first it looked a bit chaotic. But then I realized something.
The AI didn’t seem to have any real sense of caching or modular structure. It just kept generating calls without thinking about the system as a whole.
Strangely, that made me a little happy.
It reminded me that someone still has to read the code and notice these things.
Even if I rely a lot on vibe coding these days, the ability to read code and fix structural problems still matters.
If anything, that skill might be getting sharper.

I worked at the office, talked with a few people, and merged someone else's pull request.
## Thoughts
I usually spend most of my time working alone.
Yesterday was mostly the same, but I had a few chances to talk with people.
Even short conversations can change the mood of the day a little.
I also merged a pull request from someone else.
It was a small change, but software moves forward through small steps like this.
