Last Notes npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Yes, running older core version will work for a while, but eventually will become too out of date to use. Hopefully core dont make it compulsory. Assuming that all knots nodes are eventualky forced to run a newer core node, I would think all of them will manually put op_return filter back on. Core will be be able to see this(when it happens). If they still make it complusory then they really are totally ignoring significant part of the community. ๐ค npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Thanks for another good show Brian ๐ I came across something recently that I overlooked. If knots node eventually becomes redundant, and we are forced to use core node, then aparantly we can add the op_return filter back in. I didnt realise this. Core changed the default setting as off. But we can chose to switch it back on. Not sure you aware of this. I thought this was important to share. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear It seems like Luke Dashjr is going for this hard fork. It does seem like its gonna happen. I think I will run a forked node to show my support. But we have no choice, on the main chain we have to run a core node Eventually knots node wont be updated. โน npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Thanks for a good show. ๐ Yeah we all expected bip110 to fail. I was some how hoping by some miracle they would succeed. I think a hard fork is not good for bitcoin and also I assume we would lose people like Luke Dashjr and mechanic to the new bitcoin forked chain. Although bip110 failed, their presence is reflective of serious concerns that core do not have bitcoin's true interests. So I would prefer to have these devs challenging bitcoin core in our corner on tge maim chain. Otherwise we would not have a clue what bitcoin core is up to. If they did do a hard fork, it would result in the usual dynamics after a fork, price would crash, and majority of public would stick with the main chain. So it would fail? Not necessarily. As long as the forked bitcoin remains strong enough to ward off any 51% attacks and there are enough miners and nodes for it to be secure ( obviously would never be as strong as main chain, but its good enough), then if core really do go rogue and destroy bitcoin in the future, then we have a viable option to switch to one of the bitcoin forks. If the worst case scenario happens, then these forks of bitcoin might not be so bad. You would think over time people will learn their lesson and pick the bitcoin that is most resilient long term. So these failed bitcoin forks that we look down on could actually be silently waiting to come into action if bitcoin core really do overstep and destroy themselves. Bitcoin core would surely be aware of this. So hopefully their presence keeps them in check. In the end I dont want the main chain to fail and if spam is something we have to deal with and of it is not catastrophic to keeping bitcoin decentralised enough, and no one can censor a transaction on the main chain, then that is what its all about. I do hope the spam is not used as way to severly compromise the bitcoin network. One thing for sure, mining needs to become more decentralised. Bip110 is an example of the miners coming together and making sure it fails. We are putting alot of trust in the miners. I would feel more comfortable if it was much more decentralised. I am not sure the best way to make mining more decentralised. If 10% of normal every day people had their own mining rig at home, this would be enough to overtake the few companies that dominate bitcoin mining worldwide. But we could assume by then that countries would begin using wasted energy / free energy like renewables to mine bitcoin. So by then the mining industry could easily be 10 times larger in which case 10% of every day people running a mining rig at home would no longer cut it and would be a small % of mining power globally, so then we back to square one. I have looked into buying a mining rig on numerous occasions and everytime I decide against it because I fear I would end up paying more than spot price of bitcoin and infact make a loss. I would be willing to accept to breaking even, in returm for non kyc freshly minted bitcoin. But I am not so confident I could pull this off. Bitcoin mining is a cut throat industry, requiring hardware upgrades every 3 years. There are much easier ways to buy non kyc bitcoin. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I was supporting bip110. I was somehow hoping they might succeed, but I knew the odds were stacked against them. But as long as bitcoin remains decentralised and monetary transactions remain uncensorable on the main chain, then nothing has really changed. I do hope this isnt the beginning of bitcoin being co-opted and captured. And I hope this spam mechanism isnt used to attack bitcoin in the future. I think we do need more decentralised mining like Ocean. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Omg Brian, your heart must have sank when you realised your seed words were at risk. Thank god you secured your funds. ๐ Coldcard have alot to answer for! Bitcoin's greatest strength is the ability of everyday users being able to take self custody. We all need to look at this disaster as a learning experience, so that we become stronger going forward. I think we should all have a think about our self custody set up. Multisig setup with different hardware devices will mitigate against a potential seed failure with one hardware provider. If multiple hardware failures occur simultaneously across different hardware devices, then setting a 13th/25th word passphrase for each seed phrase on each hardware device seems essential now. And creating your own passphrase using a dice with maximum randomness is something we can all do. Its something we should all think about. It is the only way to know the job has been done properly. Dont trust, verify! Giving up on self custody is not the answer. Then we are just trusting a third party, and we have no idea whether the third party will not make a mistake. Self sovereignty is key. And bitcoin self custody provides the ultimate financial freedom. I am so sad to hear all the stories from people that have lost their life saving. Dont give up, keep strong, and remember, bitcoin is still tiny at the moment. You have time to rebuild. Bitcoin is still on the road to 100x and beyond. So you have time to restack and still be able to live the life you have always imagined. My heart goes out to you all. ๐งก npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Nice. Thank god you and friend in the clear. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I was thinking the exact same thing. The timing is too much of a coincidence. Coldcard hack 1 week before bip110. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I been meaning to get round it too, coldcard seemed like the ultimate self custody hardware device. How could they let this happen. ๐ณ Hardware companies need to prove to us their wallets are as good as they say. Confidence has been truly broken! We are all thinking, is our wallet next. ๐คฆ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Its rough Brian, this news is v scary. omg, you actually generated your seed on cold card. So glad you sorted it out and have secured your bitcoin. I thought about buying one. It was on my list of things to do. But never got round to it. The question everyone is asking, what other hardware wallets outside of coldcard brand have this flaw. There is bound be atleast one. The other hardware brands need to prove that the seed was generated properly with the correct randomness. So this hack needs to be attempted on other hardware wallets. I am waiting for some sort of verification to restore some confidence. Hopefully someone can re-read the open source code of these other hardware wallets outside of coldcard and confirm the seeds have been generated correctly. Very disappointed a company like coldcard could allow this to happen. ๐ณ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Thanks Joe, i saw last week El Salvadore locks up women for having miscarriages. That concerned me. Then i see this video. I still want to visit El salvadore, but I dont plan on saying anything too controversial while i am there. Thanks for being honest, not many bitcoiners would be willing to go against the tide. โ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Another good show Brian. Thanks. ๐ Its sad to see people like Tommy Robinson put his name to the shitcoin scene. I respect what he is trying to do, but it really shows how little work he has put into understanding bitcoin, and/or bad advice he has been given. Either way not a good look. I hope he realises soon, Bitcoin is the future, that could really fundamentally change things long term. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I agree, its a very big deal that the president of the United States has given so much emphasis to bitcoin (and crypto). It feels like we are right at the bottom. So many metrics are flashing red, perfect zone for buying. I hope we get one last push down. But I got admit, this might be it. And its all up from here. ๐ค npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Another good show Brian. Thanks. ๐ Graphene is good, but alot of mainstream apps dont work, like banking apps etc. Hopefully over time more apps are introduced. Google / apple unfortunately have set it up to make you cave eventually. Give it a try, you can buy a second hand pixel phone for real cheap. Dont go older than pixel 7 otherwise pixel security updates will stop updating, whixh isnt good for security. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Its dangerous that we have group responsible for the up keep of bitcoin thats heavily influenced by big money, fancial institutions, etc. Im not entirely sure how the miners will flip to bip110, I dont understand how they are incentivised to. So as much as i want bip110 to succeed, im not entirely sure how this will unravel. Everyone is against bip110, even Michael Saylor, Lyn Alden, odell, Jimmy Song, all bitcoiners I respect. Saylor I kind of understand because he is tied between commercial and bitcoin fundamentals. So he has to tow a careful line not to alienate himself from commercial interests, which he wants to integrate into. The only explanation I can think of is because people are afraid they align with the wrong crowd that doesnt win. To be completely honest im not sure why people cant see the dangers. Currently transaction fees are extremely low, spam is not significant issue. But when bitcoin starts become more relevant as money and position in the world, state actors will use every trick in the book to attack bitcoin. The spam will be used to attack bitcoin, flood it with content that will make the roughest people's stomach churn. Im even more concerned about the direction this is heading. Core is compromised and they will make bigger and bugger changes in the future that slowly become more and more dangerous. If the attacks occur gradually, then people wont realise, their standard get lower and lower over time. People tend to keep moving the goal posts, the keep selling out jyst a little bit. And before you know it we have a monetary network thats controlled and co-opted. I think alot of bitcoiners take it for granted the resilience of bitcoin. Its only as resilient as we make it. I really really hope Bip110 crosses the line. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Thats amazing Bukminster Fuller and people like him were able to predict the coming of bitcoin. I like hayeks prediction in 1984 : "I don't believe we shall ever have a good money again before we take the thing out of the hands of government... we can't take it violently... all we can do is by some sly roundabout way introduce something that they can't stop." Describes bitcoin perfectly ๐ I hope bip110 succeeds - i know you are staying neutral - i wonder how many more people are staying neutral and then on the 11th hour, they all adopt. The barrage against bip110 is massive. Core needs to be put back in its place! npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I dont blame Saylor for losing it. She was poking, perfecyly winding him up. The way she said, " but your a company". People like that are so frustrating. Whenever we find ourselved in doubt, we just need to remind ourselves how bitcoin works, why it is the most superior asset ever created. Its sad really people that respect channel 4 will be alienated from bitcoin because of this stupid reporter! Thanks for another good show, keep the bitcoin flame burning ๐ฅ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Thats pretty cool, you dont have to be mad to be in bitcoin, but it helps! ๐ I will remember this, its so bloody true isnt it. Another good show, thanks. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I also saw the video of the billionaire saying that bitcoin will go to zero. I believe they have proclaimed bitcoin to be dead over 400 times now! The old guard is in denial. Lets stand our ground and hodl. https://npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9.blossom.band/7bedf5233d5207e6f47012924fa6456fafda9804b0d1457e784e6e5c8997a2ab.gif npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Thats a good moto to live by, being honest gets you the right subs! I have met alot of people with lots of friends. You would think they have people they can confide in. Quite the opposite. Having even 1 or 2 real friends you can call gems is rare. Your subscribers are similar. And having a load of crypto followers, im not sure thats the way forward. Good choice Brian be true to who you are. ๐งก npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Thanks for another show @nprofileโฆdr0u I agree with Gary Cardone, its not if it hits 1million, its when it its 1million. Thanks Brian. โ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear wow, $9trillion dynasty involved in bitcoin. so very bullish. and Taiwan discussing a bitcoin reserve. amazing. there is a lot of bullish news in the bear market. another great show @npub13kgโฆwp2s thanks. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Unless they start using stable coins as pseudo cbdc and begin to control peoples spending. In which case people will naturually look for privacy coins and or bitcoin lightnimg which does a very good job in staying private when purchasing. I dont think they will be able to control bitcoin and control what we can or can not spend on in the future. โ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Good show Brian thanks ๐ Do you think people will prefer using stable coins to make purchases instead of bitcoin lightning. I can see why Stable coins might come out as top, they will be very convenient to use. Although I am hoping lightning wins and bevomes the preferred way to make purchases. Any bitcoin i use to spend through lightning i just buy back at the end of the month. I can see why people might not want to use lightning, because bitcoin is perceived as their savings. And spending your saving makes no sense. Buying back at the end of the month is an extra step which just add inconvenience to peoples lives. Spending via bitcoin lightning has better privacy than stable coins, so thats a plus point I totally agreee, we will keep getting higher highs at the end of every bull markets and higher lows at the end of brar markets. Exact timing is akways hard to predict. ๐ฏ Wow, we can secure residency if we spend just 90 days a year in el salvadore. Thanks Brian, i didnt realise this, will research this ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I agree Charles Hoskinson really has lost the plot! I wont be buying Cardano. ๐คฆ Good for Strive to buy 32 bitcoin, nice symbolic message. I think Strategy should have some fun with all the bears, they should sell 7 bitcoin, announce it publicly and then 6 the next day, 5 the day after that, 4, 3, 2, 1 and then on the 8th day buy some insane number of bitcoin, a record breaking number that we have never seen before. I think that would be great marketing. Lol. ๐คฃ With Space x ipo and all the other ipo scheduled to launch, it does seem like alot of liquidity being sucked from every where into these crazy valued stocks. Gold is feeling it, Bitcoin is feel it too, people will fall for it. Its a really good opportunity to get discounted sats. โ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Good to have you back Brian! Hope you had a really good break. The world really is full of too many whingers and whiners. Its frustrating. I have a small amount of dry powder which is such a small % of my stack that I dont see the point of putting straight into bitcoin. So I am looking to buy bitcoin treasury companies which are totally batterred at the moment. One more drop down into the 50's and I will be happy. So part of me is very excited see the price go down because the discount for these companies are even bigger than the discount on bitcoin. But yeah i would prefer to be 100k plus of course. Because my overall portfolio is down considerably. It does seem like people are losing their heads. I would like to see the alt coin completely capitulate. In this recent down turn they have not really done too badly. Once they crash even more than bitcoin, then we know we have truly bottomed. 8% fear and greed. Thats low. I think years ago I remember seeing 5 or 6, but this was a long time ago, maybe 2020 covid crash. Stay patient is the key to this game. Time to hunker down and hodl... ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Wow! People are actually selling their bitcoin stash because its underperforming this year compared to gold. Im not really sure why people dont get it. Bitcoin is the most superior asset to ever exist. This could be a bottom signal, high profile people selling bitcoin. Freddie New is great, yes our privacy really is under attack. We all just need to stand our ground. The truth is, they cant force us to do something we wont do. So really governments are testing the masses to see how far we can be pushed to compliance. Reality is, for those that cave and give in, they are the ones deciding to comply and submit. People that give in and give up their privacy, they are doing it to themselves. People need to take more responsibility for themselves, learn about how to live without handing over their privacy. Sounds harsh, but those that are not willing to put in the effort, deserve to live a life of enslavement. During covid, the reality was people locked themselves in their own homes. People decided to comply and submit. I did not follow any of the guidelines, I always stood inside the 2m line, never wore a mask, and I always sneezed with no inhibition. Who would think somethimg as simple as sneezing, they could make us feel so guilty for. I visited friends and family during lock downs. Neighbours stared in dismay as I rocked up. It was amazing to see, the streets were so empty during lockdown. I drove through central London on a weekday, no traffic, no people, no sound, it was eerie. It made me realise how easy it is for the people to become so easily controlled and manipulated. Very disheartening to see. Nice one for securing second address. This is a very usefull tool to have. This makes it much harder for governments and criminals (the two terms are interchangeable) to leak our physical location and much harder for criminals to find us physically. For me its not so hard, I am not big on social media, the recent ID verification for websites, just use a vpn. If they ban vpn, then use tor. And all they are doing is pushing us to use nostr more and more. And to find better solutions that are decentralised. Good luck trying to impose ID verification on nostr. I dont think people in government pushing these insane policies, even know that something like nostr exists. Otherwise I dont think they would be pushing the masses so far. And they dont realise that the more they censor, the more people will adopt communication protocols that they have no control of. I dont think they understand how powerful bitcoin is either. Because its such a small asset in the big scheme of things, its totally off their radar. Ive started exploring linux as an alternative operating system to Microsoft windows. Microsoft is awful, the latest windows operating system is taking snapshots of everything we do on your desktop. Crazy! Thanks for another good show. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Another good show @nprofileโฆl2w9 Thanks. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Thats really impressive, Claude helping a user to recover his lost bitcoin. It also shows that if someone gets hold of your laptop / hard drives then they could find your recovery seed words if you havent secured properly. 500k by end of decade! I spat my orange juice out when I heard this. Lets add a zero to that please! If Michael Saylor has anything to do with it, he will make sure we hit this price target well before then. I think Edelman is underestimating grossly. Good show @nprofileโฆfajq. Thanks for another show. โ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear You are so right. The government are completely thieving Aholes! Its organised crime, with the law on their side. I avoid dealing with the government at all times. Good show @nprofileโฆl2w9. Would be good if we really are back in bullish momentum. ๐ค npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Statiatics say 3/10 will go broke. I think it will be even higher because significant portion have their savings in traditional mainstream assets, that will wither to nothing. If only they could be open to bitcoin. Its sad. So many people are so crititical of Michael Saylor. If he buys 10 bitcoin and sells 1, is that really a bad thing! If everyone did this, then they would be extrmeley well off. Good show @UKBitcoinMaster. Becareful in the shed man! It can be a dangerous place. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Having Bitcoin really does give a great sense of security. If there is an emergency, financially, its not an issue. And being in a position to help friends and family when they need it most is a great feeling. I bet your daughter was over the moon and extremely grateful. โ Michael Saylor's never sell your bitcoin, is a good mantra. I always interpreted it as, you only sell if you really have to and dont sell it to fund crap you dont need. And always try to lraverage first. So if Im tempted to buy an expensive watch for 5k, I ask myself would I be willing to pay 500k for it? Because this is how much 5k worth of bitcoin today will be worth in the future. I usually decide to not be tempted to spend on empty things. Its short term joy that doesnt last very long. As for Strategy announcing we may need to sell bitcoin, I dont think its anything to worry about. They are literally eating up the bitcoin supply like a monster. If they sell, then I think they have earned the right to sell some. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I do agree with Tim Draper too. Not having bitcoin is absolutely nuts. My cousin was complaining recently how his life is so hard bevause he has too many expenses going out. I tried to explain bitcoin to him, but he replied, the price is too high. It was frustrating to hear. ๐คฆ Good show @nprofileโฆakda. And you were full of energy, looks like you have fully recovered. Nice one mate! ๐ช๐ช๐ช npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I completely agree, bitcoin is being held back with all the might of the traditional mainstream financial system. As soon as this changes, it will catapult up and surprise everyone! Well done Brian for getting through the show, you sounded rough. Feel better and get well soon man. ๐ช npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Interesting, so US frozen iran's crypto. Its not bitcoin. Thats a lesson for everyone - stick to bitcoin! Because bitcoin it cant be frozen. This is the no.1 reason why bitcoin is the apex asset of humanity. It cant be frozen. The ultimate f*ck you money. ๐ Hope you feel better soon Brian, seemed like you were coming down with something. Rest up and take it easy. Drink plenty of Orange juice. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear So many people assume, some one else will do the job, promoting bitcoin, spreading the word. But if everyone thinks like this, then no one will be out there talking bitcoin. So im grateful to you Brian, and people like yourself, willing to put in time and effort to spread the word of bitcoin. Thanks man! Keep it up! โ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear There really isnt enough guys like you @nprofileโฆakda yelling into web cams saying this is insane! Infact I think you arent yelling hard enough. Yell harder and louder. Last 2 cycles, I wish there was more people like you especially in UK, majority of people are getting left behind. Everyone around me, feels like they are sleep walking through life. So much bullish news! That army guy says it all. I think its simple, if no one else buys bitcoin, then strategy will continue to scoop it all up creating a massive supply crunch. More people / companies / corporations / finacial institutions are slowly but surely realising and adding to having their own btc treasury and this adds to the supply crunch becoming even more massive and happening even more faster. Its gonna be crazy when it happens. I know we hear that each cycle has diminishing returns, but it seems obvious to me, a 10x or even 20x is closer than we think. The speed at which strategy bitcoin buying frenzy is growing is completely crazy. As long as strc continues to grow, which seems like it will then strategy will not slow down their bitcoin purchases. And strc is not even 12 months old. Everytime strategy buys bitcoin, it is bitcoin that is bought and locked away for the forseeable future. I really think a repeat of 2017 cycle is just round the corner. Lets sit tight and wait it out. When it all kicks off, we have the perfect seats in the house. Sometimes I think why cant I persuade people to learn more about bitcoin. If Natalie Brunell is struggling then its clear the issue is abit more universal rather than how its explainined. I personally think it takes someone who is either detached from the system more than average person or those right on the edge who are willing to detach. Those that are fully emmersed in mainstream narratives will never give bitcoin any time and will not look at bitcoin untill it is endorsed by an authority such as government. I think Simon Dixon is right, for most people just buy more than what you had in the previous month. Most people cant handle debt / leverage, the moment we see a dip, they are suffering sleepless nights afraid they cant pay their loans off. By the time the rest of the world catches on, there will be very little bitcoin left. Bitcoins fixed supply is something that just doesnt seem to compute in peoples heads. ๐คท Cool pie chart / graphics showing how distribution of bitcoin is changing hands from individuals to institutions. This explains why the price hasnt yet gone through the roof. So OG bitcoiners have decided to sell. I read somewhete around 7 or 800k bitcoin have been sold by OG bitcoiners in 2025. This selling pressure must be whats caused this crash / kept price suppressed this cycle. I do think OGs are crazy to sell so much. But on the otherhand maybe its not so crazy, if 800k bitcoin sold by lets just say 80,000 individuals, selling 10 bitcoin per person, thats around $10million / individual, assuming they sold at a price of $100k / bitcoin. So $10mill cash to enjoy lifestyle is a nice reward for hodling over 15 years plus. And I bet these OG still have much more than 10 bitcoin in their stash. So thats fair play. I suppose there is no point in living like buddhist monks, there is afterall enjoyment to be had in the physical world, so I think many of us would have done similar, had we discovered bitcoin so early. And $10million isnt that hard to spend these days. An expensive house in a nice area of the world could easily set you back a few mill, maybe even $5mill. And then running cost etc. Etc. So on second thoughts its probably closer to 40,000 OGs selling 20 bitcoin each. Based on this, then maybe the price of bitcoin hitting 126k this cycle is fairly reasonable. I assumed OGs wouldnt sell. Had they not sold, then we would have hit far beyond 126k. I have been worried that the price of bitcoin has been suppressed / manipulated by the system / options / "paper bitcoin" like how they been supressing gold for over 10 years (untill recently). But having crunched some of the numbers, makes me think there is no major long term bitcoin manipulation happening. Institutions have only just started getting warmed up. We only have around 200 btctc and no countries are really seriously buying as part of a SBR yet. So maybe this transfer of OG bitcoiners will continue up untill the OGs run out of bitcoin in significant numbers. I dont believe the OGs will sell below 60k, so maybe price dips into the 50's. Next round of bitcoin OG selling would be atleast 200k plus. Also how long will it take for these OG sellers from 2025 to spend their $10-$20mill cash? At which point they will need to sell more bitcoin to sustain lifestyle. If they are like lottery winners, then they will blow their cash pretty fast, but the fact they were even able to hodl so long suggests they are abit more savvy, Id say they are more sensible, maybe they diversifying in different countries. Im tempted to say the OG selling will be what dictates how high we go in the next few cycles for the next 5 years. I always thought the OGs would never sell, so this is an incorrect assumption. I reckon institution adoption will accelerate really fast, like 10x in a few years, btctc accelerate to 2,000 plus not 200, countries start taking BSR seriously. OGs sell majority of their bitcoin to institutions within next 5 years. We have 2 more bullruns within 5 years, the pie chart you showed, OG holding bitcoin shrinks to less than a quarter. So price is say $500k in less than 5 years. After 5 years, within next 5 years after that the price goes into millions really quick. Institutions will hold and not sell. OGs it seems are the weaker hands after all. I think all this is dictated by how quick institutions jump on board. I reckon this will be quick, next couple of years they come like an unstobable force. Price could be held back as OGs selling, so upto $500k. Eventually OGs run out. Bitcoin transfers to strongest hands, which will be institutions / countries etc. . And price goes flipping crazy, $ multi millions $ bitcoin price- 2031-2036. sorry man, went on abit. Lets hodl for the long term. Thanks Brian, good show really got me thinking. Thanks again Brian. ๐ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear We are for sure, talking the same thing, most definitely. I ended up using the term 'human being' and the words in that order as upside down in the fiat world we live in. The fiat world us upside down and the kind of human the fiat world encourages us to be is so upside down. The emphasis should be on "being" human and so 'being' should come first - "being" human. But the fiat world doesnt want us to emphasise this. The fiat world doesnt want us being it. So became the term so widely knows as 'human being'. The fiat world undermines "being" part of 'being human' therefore 'human being' is the preferred term, 'being' is less important, so comes second. Not sure if ive got this across very well You replaced the word "being" with "doing" which I really liked too, so human doing instead of human being. That was nice. But I couldnt really incorporate "doing" into my thought when I was thinking about how the fiat world has turned our society so upside down. And it seemed to fit and it felt like the term human being has become upside down too. So when i was thinking about it, the fiat world has literally convinved us of reality being so upside down. The term 'human being' is therefore also upside down, so I prefer the words being switched the the right way round, - "being" human. Hopefully you get what i mean... if not then im in a world if my own as usual. ๐ You talk about first principles alot. I agree with this approach and I try to apply this to my every day life. I am surprised by some of the revelations, many things we do, and take for granted and dont really question, Ive come to realise are not required, and unfortunately are a hinderance to our life. This applies everything from health, to the people we are around, and the things we have become dependent on. In terms of health, an example could be, when I stopped putting any products on my skin, the improvement to my skin health and overall health has been significant. Less is more. Or I prefer to say do "nothing". Its funny but practicing "nothing" has enabled me to become more human. We are constantly told to do this or that, behave a certain way, society pushes us to do things that dont always feel natural and the end result often make us less human. To make us look a certain way, or be a certain way, to fit in. In the end, we end up being detatched from experiencing the actual human experience. And we end up expereincing something else entirely which dont always create the best results, not always pleasant, and dont always make us feel great either. As with money, where we are trying to opt out of fiat, to stop fueling a system which is so destructive, and into bitcoin which creates much more positive incentive structure, there are so many other facets non money related which we can also opt out of which we think is essential but when we disect with a first principled approach, we discover that we are better off doing "nothing". "Nothing" is a very difficult approach. When we are faced with a problem, so often we think we have to solve it, we have to be the hero, we need to use our intellect, creating a solution. But often our actions are directly causing the problem and many more problems. Our attempt at solving an issue causes a bigger problem. And then we get stuck in a cycle of problem solving, to fix something that causes another problem and so on. What makes things even more confusing is when we fix a problem, we feel relieved and happy, becayse the initial problem has been resolved, only for the problem to reform and change into something that isnt always apparent in its connection. I think this is where some of the phrases come from "less is more", "simplest solution is the key". Etc. These phrases are true because they are closer to doing "nothing". Its funny but the phrase, "I tried everything but nothing works" the emphasis should be on "nothing". Its like we know the answers, we tell ourselves, we are so close, and then we throw ourselves onto a tangent and then we end up not knowing. Problem with "nothing" is it doesnt really contribute to the economy, doesnt make money, its hard to sell, hard to market, doesnt do much for our ego, but I tell you Daniella there is some serious truth to it. I live by it and always consider it as my number one strategy when faced with a problem. Most problems are solved by this. When I am unablr to literally do "nothing" then I think, how can I do the next best thing as close to nothing as possible. If a solution is very convulted and complex, then I try to avoid it at all costs. I usually find a much simpler work around. And it works out better in the long term. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Nice! Excellent work Daniella, too much good stuff to unpack. What does it mean to be a human being? Maybe we should start with "being" human! Crazy, they inverted it the wrong way round, (intentionally no doubt!). We should never have become a human being, the fiat world taught us to become a human being. We were always meant to, "being" human. This cant be a coincidence, almost like they are saying, no no no, some how the fiat world convinced us that its now outlawed to "being" human. But we are taught that human being is what we need to strive for in this fiat world we live in. Its the civilised way to live, its the modern way to live, the elegant way to live, sophisticated, suave, all while pushing us further and further from "being" human. Purging us from "being" human. We been tricked, thinking the prize is becoming a human being. As usual the fiat world loves to take the piss out of us to our face, and we have naively fallen for it. Society constantly pushes us away from "being" human. We are made to feel ashamed of "being" human. From day one we are pushed into covering up "being" human. From a young age, a perception is created and then re-enforced over and over, driven into us by the fiat world. And then we wonder why, there are so many negative things in society, all the fighting, the nastyness, treating each other with disrespect, fucking each other over. This is not human nature, its the result of not "being" human. Its the result of the fiat world pushing us into becoming a human being, rather than "being" human. Fiat plays an integral part in enabling this skewed - 1985 - reality from dominating. Why does our society go so much out of its way to stop us "being" human. Whats with that? Why is it that the fiat system we live in is so threatened by those that experience "being" human. Whats with that? Seems like alot of effort, energy and attention has been put into, by our fiat dominated society that stops us experiencing "being" human. Why does the fiat world not like like us experiencing "being" human? Maybe because a person "being" human, cant be controlled in this fiat world we live in. Hence why we are tricked into becoming a human beings instead. "Being" human is how its always meant to be. As opposed to the human being that the fiat world has locked us into. Bitcoin enables us to unlock ourselves from the fiat world that is stopping us from "being" human. It breaks our obsession with the fiat existence of becoming a human being. If deflation is the natural state of a free market, then bitcoin is the perfect measuring stick, to measure this deflation. Im excited to experience deflation. Im excited to experience "being" human. Ive realised Ive been played by the fiat world. They tricked me into striving to become a human being, when all along the goal was always, "being" human. npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Im weary of bitcoin backed loans because they are so new. So ive decided to sit it out for the moment to see which lenders are still around in a few years. As long as your leaverage is a small % of your bitcoin then I dont think its too concerning. Eg. If you took a loan against 5% of your total bitcoin, then it would have to drop by 90% to get liquidated. Because you need to put up double the amount of loan. I think thats right ๐ค. So bitcoin would have to drop 90% before your bitcoin would be at risk. So it would have to drop to 7k. Seems like impossible... On second thoughts, when the price was dropping from 80k+ to 60k, that would have been terrifying to experience if I had a loan. Because when it drops, it really feels like it will just keep going with no end in site. Maybe a loan of 1% of your total bitcoin would guarantee it. The problem with lending against an asset such as bitcoin, yes true this is how the rich stay rich, but they are typically borrowing against an asset such as property that isnt so volatile like bitcoin and would hardly ever fluctuate by 50%. I can see why many are staying away. Im not sure Id have the stomach for it during times of volatility I also expected to be well above 150k by now. The min target I had in my head was 200k. Lets see what happens... Time will tell if we go into a full blown drawn out bear market or if we bounce back. ๐ค npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear Must have been an ai robot serving you. ๐คฃ npub1ulvfx7werjfhfxryajpuvdd2j8thmz9wylw4uj727wfcsrtwevrsdd7kr9 Big Suboss Bear I noticed that. Haha. Weird. We can speculate what impact bitcoin will have on society. Its hard to see how things will practically turn out in real life. But its interesting thinking about it. In science / evolution, there are times in history when humans evolve really fast. And it cant be explained by science or darwin theory of evolution. I think its when the environment changes drastically, humans and all living things adapt accordingly. Life has a remarkable ability to mould round its surroundings. I see bitcoin as similar. Its changed the "environment" or the rules that govern our society. As a result humans will adapt, and our behaviour will change significantly really fast, something thats doesnt normally happen so quick. Alot of the negative things we see about our society, we often say its just human nature, is actually because of the rules that get pushed in our society. And then we are just responding accordingly. I do think bitcoin will change things fundamentally. But getting rid of the money printer is key. If US dollar can hyperinflate in say 10 years plus, that gives bitcoin time to overtake gold. And then whatever replacement fiat is created after the US dollar crashes, the people inevitably reject it and select bitcoin. No fiat currency will dominate and bitcoin becomes recognised as a global dominant currency. But I recognise that there will be forces stopping this kind of future. And cbdc is the goal. I think to myself who in their right mind will accept a cbdc. Poor, desperate people, combined with fear and it appears you can convince the masses of anything. Look at how they locked us down during covid. Nobody questioned it. I was the only one on the streets, breaking so called lockdown rules, driving, id see a cop car and instantly feel, will they pull me over. It was like Mad Max, and the cops were the crazy lawlessness on the streets imprisoning us. I visited friends, and neighbours grassed us up to the cops. I visited my aunty and she wouldnt let me passed the front doorway, we spoke in the front garden. I do hope we learn from our past mistakes and wise up. Its a great job you doing Brian, you are onboarding as many people as possible onto the bitcoin life raft. It will make a huge difference to the lives of many. So MSTR is over 80% down from its all time high. Other bitcoin treasury companies are down even more over 90-95% down. So by allocating a SMALL AMOUNT of your bitcoin as a bet that MSTR and these btctc will out perform bitcoin in the short term, I think is not a bad strategy at all. For gods sake dont sell all your bitcoin, and go all in on btctc. I said allocate a small %. If it doesnt work, then your life has not changed significantly to the down side. The clip with the guy saying bitcoin is guaranteed to crash, dont buy it, was halarious. I was waiting for the pun that just didnt come. ๐คฃ Financial Times, being Financial Times. They are leading lambs to the slaughter. Its such a shame, so many people will will lose out big time because of FT. I hope FT readers will wake up before its too late. When Wright Brothers first achieved manned flight in 1902, it took years before mainstream scientists accepted it as real. Infact it wasnt untill 1908 that mainstream newspapers began to report it. Bitcoin feels similar, mainstream economists, nobel prize laureats are in denial, they cant believe that their own models that govern money could possibly be wrong. Physicists and mathematicians were proven wrong by 2 brothers that were bicycle mechanics. Way too much for the experts to stomach. Bitcoin is similar. The expert economists laugh, it has no intrinsic value, backed by no government, no recognised authority. They underestimate the power of the combined authority of decentralised individuals all over the world, spread out, so they cant be silenced. These are just normal every day people, maybe even bicycle mechanics, lorry drivers, office secretaries or factory workers, all running their bitcoin nodes. Its a paradigm shifts thats never existed. Julian explains that the rise and fall of civilzations follow the same patterns over and over again. The currency gets debased, printed to infinity, inflated until its worthless. And then a new power comes along, takes over from the last, and repeats everything all over again. Its all part of the design. But this age old design now has a new component in the mix. When one civilization falls to make way for a new, and the new brings with it the promises of a fresh currency that will not inflate, debases, or collapse, what the design has never had was a new component. What if we had a neutral form of money, that no one controls, no central issuer, a money that can not be shut down, can not be frozen, and one that you can move any where in the world without friction. If this new option existed, would we really opt to pick the promises from a new centralised power, that have echoed over the ages, from one super power to the next. We are witnessing a special time in history, when there is a new component in the mix. The age old design, of how the reigns of power is passed from one super power to the other, is changing forever. Gary Cardone is interviewed on the Robin Seyre Podcast. Very good interview. Gary Cardone is real good. He really sums it up. Bitcoin is currently only a spec in the massive wilderness of financial assets. And this an excellent reality to be faced with. We know what bitcoin is. It is the apex asset created by humanity. Yet it is only, currently a spec of dust amongst huge mammoth assets. This is fantastic news for us all. Whether we are new or existing bitcoiners, it means the upside is massive.ย
Bitcoin is also the best business opportunity to ever exist. You could try your hardest, pull out all the strings, even if you are a genius, the chances are you won't beat the return on bitcoin. And you don't need to work like a dog, to get these gains. Bitcoin is the best business opportunity ever!ย
Gary highlights that as bitcoiners, the risk is that we don't do anything with our life except stack sats and sit tight. The risk is we sit on our stack, get fat and lazy. I think for most people, this kind of life will only last so long. Once you get it out your system, that you don't need to worry about money any more, once we get bored of doing nothing, eventually, the only thing left is to do something that motivates you. For the first time we can live and do something with our life, because we really want to. Rather than being pushed because of just making more money, or because we forced to by twisted reasons that get perpetuated by society. For different people it will take different amount of time to get to this stage. And for some people, you know what, they can decide to do absolutely nothing. That's the whole point of fuck you money. Lets strive to make our lives, a life that we are proud of and content with. If we all focus on this, then I think everything will turn out just fine.ย
I heard someone once say that people need to be told what to do. Otherwise, they will do nothing and just waste away. I think this reality exists because of the current fiat society we live in. The current system zaps the life out of us. Because we live in the fiat world, then it is inevitable that we become largely driven by the fiat world. Many successful people are driven by all the incentives of the fiat rules that compel us to behave how we do.ย And the fiat world has a tendency to draw out some of the most repugnant character traits that exist. Most bitcoiners once they make the transition begin to behave entirely differently. Once the clutches of the fiat system no longer grip them so intensely, suddenly we can think more clearly. We can move more freely. We can feel more inspired. We can get more motivated. And most of us won't want to do nothing. Most of us will have no choice but to behave according to how differentky we feel. For the furst time in our lives we won't need to be told what to do. We can decide for ourselves what we want to do with our lives. And march like a person, with purpose, rather than like a broken twig drifting in the wind at the mercy of the forces that surround it. Fiat world is a nasty place that thrives on coercion. The bitcoin world is a free world that thrives on voluntary free will. These are two opposing worlds that yield completely opposing realities.ย
Highly reccomend this interview.
