The politicians say anything to get their base riled up. They are happy when it goes too far. They use these morons to push the agenda they want and dont give the tiniest care in the world if people get hurt or killed. As long as its not them. 0 accountability. 0 remorse. Dont get sucked into their game of thrones.

yeah they did. But that would just be other studio's movies. Then they made streaming for these shows and movies. Then they started making their own after that. The 3 I mentioned I watched were in their first 10 shows they produced themselves. I dont think the House of Cards stuff started until a few seasons in. I can't comment on the other 7 shows.

I think they have always been that way. They are producing so much now that its impossible to miss it. I remember watching house of cards and orange is the new black, some of their first shows. Both those shows had the gays and teannies in it. I dont think daredevil did. I wonder if marvel studios didn't allow it at that time. Still one of the best marvel TV shows they've made.

This shooting happened in the neighborhood across the street. If you want 0% chance of going to jail, at least wait until they take one foot into your house. Through the door is not a great option if the situation is unknown. What they dont tell you is they built price control/low income apartments perfectly centered in all these new suburban neighborhoods. They also didn't mention the string of car robberies in all the neighborhoods last month that put everyone on edge.

Do you really think someone is thinking they may get the death penalty when they decide to do something that would earn them that? They know its either death penalty or life in prison. Both suck. Life in prison may actually be worse depending on age.

2025-10-05 21:12:36 GMT

I would bet that focus is on the death penalty vs self defense. Catechism of the catholic church says in the modern day, death penalty isn't justified when you have the means to keep them away from the rest of society.

USAID is just a fraction of all the money though. Most of it is defense spending that congress appropriates, almost 1 trillion a year. That's going right to the big defense contractors and trickled down through all their subcontractors.

People say sportsball to pretend they don't know or care about sports when really they at least know the basics. They are just drawing attention to themselves that they are "too good" to talk about sports.

the book was written in the 80s before all the modern day stories where that is the norm. I read it in high school and still one of my favorites. I think the author wrote Enders Game mainly so he could write the sequal Speaker for the Dead, though i still prefer Enders Game. He's written many more books for that universe which are pretty good too.

he was 6 years old when he started and 11 at the finale in the book. He was lied to and had no idea what he did until after the final events. At the point he was past the point of being physically and mentally exhausted and didn't know how to handle it for awhile. Movie did a poor job of walking you through his lofe and internal growth. Book is very different from movie and a very different story than starship troopers. Liked that book a lot too but haven't seen that movie.

3 years ago, Lake Michigan's water level was so high it was eroding away dunes, houses, and roads. It was like that for several years. My wifes hometown even had to create make shift dams in park areas to prevent flooding. It has finally gone down after the last few years. The great lakes water level changes constantly. How can it be climate change when it's high and climate change when it's low?

Vegas airport had one of those picture taking facial recognition cameras at security. Guy instructs each person to stand in front, but there is a sign directly in front of him clearly saying you can opt out. Yet every single person just did what they were told. I opted out and it was no big deal. But why do they need a camera for facial recognition when they already require this new Real ID? I bet fingerprinting will be next.

For the last few years, my health insurance had ways you could make $200-300 a year by doing various healthy things. Watching specific videos, exercising, etc. You go online every month, say you did it, and it gets added to your account. This year, it changed completely to fitbit related items. If you want free money now, you must allow the insurance company to track you and your habits everyday.

Humans are weird. They can talk and make fun of things people do all day long behind their back. Then during their next interaction they are completely friendly or good acquaintances. It's not even like they hate or dislike the person. It's like people have a need to make fun or judge other people. It doesn't matter the relationship good or bad. I don't understand this need/desire that seems unavoidable.
