@nprofile…kd5e look up PVD and ZRN tool coatings. Fantastic stuff that makes tools essentially last forever. Just don't use them on iron alloys. The carbon in the iron alloys sticks to the diamond, builds up, and breaks the tool really quickly.

As a side note, earlier today I did a little test on cured soap and temp. Turns out soap that has basically all the water evaporated is rather brittle as shavings. When heated those shavings become more rubbery, and possibly useful for compressing into a bar of soap with a press.

just finished making some shaving soap.
one guy requested some luna fragrance added to his, which isn't a problem when making a fresh batch. Could probably take an already made one and drip some fragrance on top and be "good enough", but I didn't have any new shaving soap containers either.
I can do quite a few special requests, such as any fragrance added to shaving soap or conditioning oil.

Alright guys, shit is going to get spicy for soap manufacturing.
These are just the tools I need to manufacture soap dies to compress soap shreds into a bar. Going to make it so the entire label is embossed into each soap bar, along with the cutie mark on both sides with a good size radius on all outside edges.
Manufacturing dies is nothing to sneeze at, and this is my first time trying to make soap dies. Hopefully this works out.

hot peppers, cumin, chopped meat, tomatoes, onion, garlic. Not sure what else they would have used, but that was pretty much the dish before USA came around and absorbed it.
The main thing that modernized culinary practices was standard measuring tools. That was about the time beer was modernized too.

whew, knocked off another big project this weekend.
finished fixing my old car where the timing belt fell off while I was driving it a year ago. one of the bolts for a pully came loose while I was 5 hours away from home. Since I hate the stock plastic pullies, I had to find some time to make them myself out of steel (did that over Christmas). Finally got the last seal I needed and replaced the pullies and serpentine and bearings. also fixed a power steering leak with a new hose.
I'm tired.
