I hope that after this snake-oil bullcrap with them trying to fully replace humans blows over (and it will blow over sooner or later, like all tech bubbles it's not sustainable), I hope this kinda application stays. At least we got something with a lasting impact out of it unlike the previous tech bubble (NFTs)...

In materials science, my field, we use AI models for figuring out properties of various new materials, *but* they're specialized ones. And generally we validate them after. But it does free up a lot of grunt work of working out *potential* promising materials manually, when a computer can give us a few dozen decent ones and then we test through them.
This kinda thing is where science benefits the most from AI, that and proteins.

And I wondered why I couldn't get any publicity for my books. (It's off by default which is probably a good move but if you're a creative you should turn it on.)

Honestly if you want pure water, you'd do better with either somehow getting a hold of distilled water, or just making distilled water yourself: set a water container to boil, then collect the steam somehow and let it cool down.
(Note for anyone who doesn't know reading this: distilled water isn't any healthier than normal water because some of the "impurities" like calcium are actually healthy!)
