read that book years ago, and many others, including Zinn's history, also the US Constitution, Declaration of Independence, other histories. Yes, now we have devolved to oligarchy, because We, The People weren't paying attention, weren't paying our due to nurture representative democracy when direct democracy was impractical. We can take it for ourselves, if we would, if enough of us cared. Without that there can be no democracy

As your constituent, I am demanding:
Get together with your fellow representatives
and Impeach President Trump, asap. Remember,
you are up for re-election in November.
If you don't immediately impeach this ruiner

Walk to the Sun
When I was a child, it was an old shaman
in our village who told the story.
“We used to walk to the Sun.
We would bring back gifts for the grain.
Everyone was happy.
Today, no one walks to the Sun. No one tends the grain.
No one is happy.”
Lately, I understand that
it was not the actual Sun in the sky
of which he spoke. It was that shining
place in our heart that lets us know how to do what is right.
I’m taking a walk to the Sun; want to come along?

Names, sad biographies, personalities

Substitute equivalent qualities, commands that
define identity. Told how to hear
