Web SDK already open sourced, and listen.tidal.com runs nicely as a PWA on Linux!

Hey @npub12gy…3jj5, unfortunately not. We are now rolling out new endpoints for our public API at a fast pace, and we aim to open up much of the functionality we have at TIDAL (check https://developer.tidal.com)
We currently don't do centralized tracking of playbacks in real time, but if we ever build that, we'll open up a now playing API as well.

Thanks for pointing this out! Deployed a fix so that you get preview/clips served also with free/intro account. For full length, a subscription is needed.

In order to play full length content you need a subscription. Without a subscription, you'll be served previews/clips.

I don't think it is supported just yet on Primal. I see there is an open request for it: https://github.com/PrimalHQ/primal-web-app/issues/76

It is only supported for web based clients as of now. I know Snort supports it and there are suggestions for other clients as well, for example Primal: https://github.com/PrimalHQ/primal-web-app/issues/76

We did open source our mobile sdks (including players) just recently and are working on opening up additional access and functionality on our APIs. If webview or similar isn't an option for you, it should soon be possible to hack something together natively.

We're using oEmbed.com, snort supports it and hopefully other web based Nostr clients will too.

We're working on opening up more of our APIs, and I hope that it'll be possible to build such functionality on our platform soon.
We'll post updates here:

Hi @npub1gcx…nj5z, we currently only support this functionality in our embed player. Possible to get it into Amethyst somehow? We're open to suggestions: https://github.com/tidal-music/embed-player

Thanks! Auth with Nostr is currently only available in our embed player.

Thanks for the feedback! I see @npub1p94…5h5k has a request for getting it to work for Primal. I believe similar updates will be needed for other clients as well.
