welp. I was just thinking… do you use a filament guide? If you see filament particles near the entrance hole it could be that the filament is entering at a steep angle into the extruder, grinding there and weakening it. Wood filament is generally less bendy.

you can try tightening the screw that holds the spring on the extruder. This will make the grip of the gear looser on the filament. You can calibrate it tightening the screw more than needed while extruding a bit of material, and progressively loosening the screw until it grips the filament hard enough. In case of doubt, it’s better if the filament is a bit looser than tighter.
If your printer is similar to the ender 3 v2 you might find that there’s a little spacer there on the spring that blocks the tightening. If that’s your case, you might find this useful: https://youtu.be/CVIupqEbjkQ?si=jpU3m2TDTmuxwXYD

I’ve printed that same filament on a stock Ender 3 v2 with a Bowden tube, but I didn’t have that issue. I’d go as well with the cog spacing.
